First Snowman Snowfall

How fun is fresh snow for Snowman!?

The perfect consistency makes Saturdays so much fun! Justin cut all the wood out for craft night in the morning and then after naps the kids and him headed outside!

Poor Barkers hands were like ice, but he had fun anyways!

The girls just kinda followed Dad around and pestered him with questions.

They built the snowman a bit to high and it toppled over. Luckily it was easy to make them into chairs!

Made for walking

These boots were made for walking!!

Grandma and Grandpa got Barker some boots a couple weeks ago. He wore them the first time to Aunt Karla's but we forgot them there. Anyways Justin finally remembered to bring them home and they have NOT left his feet!

He insists on being carried outside so he won't get them dirty and can wear his boots inside.

He has napped in them.

Puts them on over his jammies.

I wonder how long it will last?!?!

Rack um' and Stack um'

Someday we will build a house again.

Someday. 

We were almost ready when the flood hit. We have a lot and we were getting ready to sign papers at the bank. Then came the flood.

Holding pattern.

The Economy in High River is no where near where it should be. 

Justin changed jobs and that always plays a factor in finances.

Banks are leery about Mortgages in High River right now.

Hence we are in a holding pattern.

We are thinking to get the process going again after January. Hoping to dig in May.

BUT until then we now have 5 adults and 4 children living in this house.

Talk about Rack um' and Stack um.

 Remy is in our room right now, but she will be moved into the kids room in a couple months.

So last Saturday Justin turned the girls bunk bed into a triple bunk. 

He is such a good Daddy and Husband. 

He puts my ideas and thoughts into action!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! This year needed 5 costumes for 4 kidos!

Kalia was Tangled. Annaliesse was a butterfly at school and a unicorn for Trick or Treating. Barker was a Lion and Remy was Winnie the Pooh.

Barkers hood of his costume was soooo adorable. But the tassle-like fur would just hang in his face.

You can see the back of Annaliesses unicorn in this photo, she loved it!
Downtown High River had a few stores giving out candy, free hot dogs, a mini haunted house AND another hot air ballon basket!

The kids all got to push the button to make the air flame! The fire truck was there handing out candy too!

Poor Remy had a fever all night before Halloween and all Halloween day. She was so miserable. Mommy went with Daddy and Laura and the kids to 5 houses before I had to head home with Remy.

We started downtown at 5 and came home to do some houses about 5:30. The kids had had enough by 6:30 and came home to eat their spoils!

They got TONS of chips this year and lots of full sized chocolate bars. They had a great time eating and answering the door. In fact, I am pretty sure it was Barkers favorite thing. Running back and forth from the door to dad with the candy bowl.

I did make a costume this year for Annaliesse to wear to school. Actually 3 weeks before Halloween the girls had decided to be Butterflies so I went out and bought the stuff. Then both girls changed their minds. But after playing a couple days in her Unicorn costume Annaliesse thought she might get to hot at her school party in that one. So she asked Mom to make her a butterfly for school.

I tried to cheat and use liquid thread… but it is horrible frustrating stuff. So in the end I hand sewed the whole thing. Oh well she loved it and had a great time at school as a Blue Butterfly.

What a fun week.
