Walking Stick and a Boyfriend

A week ago when Daddy was wrapping Mommies Christmas presents, he finished a wrapping paper roll. When you finish a wrapping paper roll- what do you do with it? A sword? A hitting stick? A crafting instrument?
Not K.

She turns to Justin and says "I know exactly what to do with this! "Grandma Martin needs a new walking stick! Lets wrap it up and give it to her for Christmas!!"

So Daddy helped her wrap it, and she wrote To Grandma Love K on it, and we took it with us to Raymond. Grandma laughed so hard she almost coughed out a lung!

K was so happy that Grandma loved it. K then said to Grandma "Just so you know, you can bonk people with it too!"

Also Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the flashlights and cups!

A got to see her "boyfriend" this week! She was having a hard time letting Mommy do her hair in the morning until I said to her "Guess who you get to see today?!?!? Derrick!"

Her frown instantly turned upside down! She got this giddily little smile and tried to hide it. Derrick is my cousin- he is uncle Marks age. A attached herself to him this summer at Whitefish. She called him her boyfriend there, and every so often, out of the blue, she will sigh and say "Oh I miss my boyfriend." Its so hilarious.

The Chipman get together started at 5, and Derrick walked in shortly there after. As soon as A saw him she ran to him and jumped in his arms. Derrick is such a good sport, he held her for a minute as she hugged him and rubbed his beard.

A ran around and played all afternoon, but every so often she would run back to Derrick and give him a hug.

Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve came!

Can you believe it?? The girls couldn't. All day K was so unbelievably hyper. Poor A was still not feeling well- her fever was still high and she spent the day wanting cuddles and laying on the couch.

We did do a craft before lunch… mostly because K needed something to do cause she was driving me CRAZY! She had a great time… A started doing the craft, then she said "I need a break" and went and laid on the couch for a minute. So Brother took over for her! Until we got the sprinkles out- then she decided she was ready to come back.

Ribbon and sprinkles in a plastic ornament!

Lets just say it made a HUGE HUGE mess!

We spent the rest of the day playing games and eating!

Before the kids went to bed we opened our new Christmas Eve jammies and read the Christmas Story.

Interesting evening. Brother wasn't really all that tired for some reason. So he was running in his crib after he was put in bed. He got so crazy he flipped out of the crib and landed on his head. So Justin and I go running upstairs, Justin picks him up and I am hugging them trying to comfort him. And right then he barfs- in my mouth, down my shirt and all over Justin.
It. was. gross.
