The RS Broadcast was fantastic. Uplifting, spiritual and calming, a great start to General Conference. 

I LOVE this time of year, General Conference is so exciting, I love listening to our prophet and apostles, The soft sweet weekend of sitting with family watching our leaders, listing to uplifting council and rejuvenating talks.

Its gonna be a great next 6 months.  There is no time like the present to strive to be and do better!

Accomplishment

Total Sense of Accomplishment.

Today I did something I was totally scared of doing!

In fact I even freaked out and called the Ladies in Raymond and some how managed to convince them to help me.
I was willing to cart all my stuff down, just so I could have someone's help/direction.

But this morning I woke up feeling much better, Monday was my horrible OFF day. Today, Tuesday I was ready to concur the world like Eleanor Roosevelt.

I Canned 3 dozen Peaches today!!

First time. By myself.

Off Day

Off

I was having a off day.

No patients, zero motivation and generally down in the dumps.

So I thought to myself…

buck up. 

Have a shower - start the day over.

Pep talk to myself in the shower-

chanting to myself about sitting on that famous corner of Awesome and Boomdiggity.

Then I got out of the shower… getting ready to get ready

and notice

The chunk of hair I managed to miss.

Not even get damp…

What the heck was I doing..

Yes. I was having a Off day.

The shower confirmed it.

Freak Dance

Something freaks everyone out.

Like….
spiders are terrifying to my sister.
Snakes are the devil according to my uncle.
Little Brother thinks KFC is disgusting.

I, myself, had a little freak out.
Blow drying my hair, the other morning, minding my own business
I saw A MOTH flutter around my head…
it looked like it flew out of my hair- the angle- the thought…
I may have wet my pants, just a little.
Screamed.
Little freak out dance.

Just thinking about it makes me wanna do a freak dance.

Honey and Mom

Those little things that your kids do, that you this is SOO cute, but when you tell other people they just kinda look at you with this fake smile and a long awkward pause…

Well…

I' M NO EXCEPTION!

I think my girls are so funny and cute… lately my favorite thing-

"Mommy-Lets play Honey and Mom" (aka. House)

I love their title for it, and I love it even more when I hear them say "K lets play Honey and Mom" and as they decide who is going to be the Honey and who is the Mom. 

I love LOVE Love LoVe LovE this age!

On another note…. I still have 10-12 lb. to lose before I am back to pre-baby weight…so I am going to be trying this new thing… but until it arrives…..

It was a busy weekend celebrating.

We headed up to Edmonton to see Justin for our 5th Annicersary and for K 4th Birthday!
Thank you West Ed…. you never fail to disappoint!

The kids and I headed up Friday morning and the drive went very well… we only had to stop once to feed brother. We found Daddy really fast and spent the day hanging at the mall shopping, playing at Galaxy Land, and we had a fab anniversary dinner.

We got up on Saturday to celebrate K's Birthday- well…. fake Birthday. Her Birthday is the 21, but we wanted Daddy to be there so we pretended.
She woke up to a Hotel room full of Balloons and she opened her present from Mommy and Daddy.

We headed to the Mall for a day of Shopping and the Water Park.
Dang I wish I took more photos.
Seriously we had a great time.

5 years.

Its been 5 years.

We got married 5 years ago, it seems like we JUST got married, but at the same time like we have been married forever.

Growing up I dreamed about getting married. Sure I wanted to be a Mom, but I never seemed to think that far. And then I met Justin and we got engaged but I still couldn't really see past the wedding.

Now 5 years Later-looking back at my wedding photos I remember being excited and nervous and wondering "Now What?"  I couldn't, for the life of me, imagine what my life would be like in 5 years.

Well….

We here now… and I have to say- these last 5 years have been pretty fantastic. I couldn't have imaged my life this great.

The smell of Fall

I was super lucky to score some crab apples again this year!

Shout out to Mary- Thanks again friend!

Nothing says fall like the smell of applesauce!

Also- big THANK YOU to my children who were VERY well behaved the WHOLE LONG day!!
It would have been way harder to do cheerfully if they had not been good all day!

BTW- my arms and shoulder killed at the end of the day. Thanks to "the musher/killer"

It was a good time… I think I listened to WICKED soundtrack like 21 times.

Mmmm… the Sauce.

After the sauce- comes the dehydration part! 

I did do 1 batch of fruit leather that day, to take up to Justin- and tomorrow I will put another batch in…. 

Crab Apple Fruit Leather.

Dont knock it, till you try it.

The Moxley's grew up on it, and they love it!! 

It is 3 simple ingredients…

Crab apples, cinnamon and sugar. 

So I got 60 lb. done… and I have another 40-50 lb. to do… 

Any one want to come up and do Fruit leather with me this week??

Take Pictures of Me

I. Like a lot of Women I know. Dont like my picture being taken.

I look horrible in 99% of all photos.

But - as I am getting ready to do some more scrapbooking- I am looking back and there are like ZERO photos of me with my kids!

Sure there are TONS of Justin with them and TONS of just them… but I am always behind the camera.

So I says to my hubby.
"Justin there are NO photos of me- so this week will you try and get some of me?"

Another FIrst

You want to remember the little things right?

Not hurtful things…. well 

I am documenting this for my Son. Who I am sure will ask me "What was my first owie?"

I will always remember cause I did it.

Dropped him that is.

It was at Gull lake- Brother is just 3 months old. Mommy is trying to carry baby in bumbo, blanket and ketcup… 

Really not a whole lot- in the mommy mulit-tasking world

and I tripped. 

He fell right out of my arms- flat on his face in the dirt.

Mommy almost fell too.

Brother Bear cried… Mommy cried harder. Then Mommy saw the owie and blood in his mouth. 

Mommy almost passed out.

It was frightening. 

Its not like my children have never gotten hurt… and its not like I freak out over everything. But when I dropped him I was so upset that I did it…. it made it 100 times worst. 

Honestly it would have been easier to deal with- if someone else dropped him-

Cause I know accidents happen, they just aren't suppose to happen to me!

Well you quickly got over it Brother. It took Mommy much longer.

Note to self: Do NOT carry baby in bumbo. Ever.

Squishy Sweet

Maybe- JUST MAYBE- I could get ONE good adorable shot of the kiddos before those burgers get off the BBQ.
