PULL IT

This kid.
As soon as a tooth is loose, she is ready for someone to pull it.
Obviously we make her wait till its almost ready... but she had another tooth coming up under her bottom tooth and we could see it pushing. She was complaining how much it hurt.
So as soon as it was close enough. Mommy pulled it out.

I love her eyes in this picture.

I am positive the tooth fairy is becoming cash poor.

Three things

I sent this pic to a friend, and she was like "WHAT HAPPEnED?!"

Whenever I make #cinnamonbuns I think of 3 things. 1) I am so grateful we live in a time where spices are available, so we can have flavourful food. 2) Grandma Iris Chipman brought us Cinnamon Buns back when we had 2 kids and life felt so overwhelming. It brought tears to my eyes to know that she was thinking about me that day. 3) I get to be a stay home mom who has the time and energy to make delicious treats for my family. And I enjoy doing it. I am ever grateful for a husband who works hard for our family

Barker started playing with the Bean Bags again. He lines up all the bowls out of the tupperware drawers and he throws the bean bags from the top of the stairs, over the railing, and from the kitchen table.

These kids love Grandma. And moving is going to kill them- NOT kill them, but be really hard for them.

Crafting is messy. Really messy.

The snowfall on Monday was crazy- Sunday we BBQ  ribs... with NO snow outside... Monday @4:30 I took this photo. No joke.

These two are darling... and they L.O.V. E. each other.

Kites in Sacrament Meeting

Sunday mornings are so nice.
Justin and I seem to have it figured out-
most Sundays-
we get up earlier then we need to.
Shhhh!! Thats our secret.
(That sounds really snotty- not trying to be... just posting my thoughts)

It also helps 1000% that Justin does just as much, IF NOT MORE, then me to help get everyone ready and out the door on time.
But our calm, endearing Sunday morning pictures DID NOT reflect our day in Sacrament Meeting.

This Sunday had a few bumps in the road, as does any Sunday with kids. During Sacrament Justin was trying to get Barker to turn around and face the front, while the deacons were passing the Sacrament. He reached over to pick him up and turn him around when Barker started laughing, like out of control giggling LOUD. Justin must have grabbed him in the wrong spot and it took Justin a few minutes to get him calm.

Then not 15 minutes later, just before Laura and I and 4 other women got up to sing, Barker was bugging Remy with her blanket. He kept putting it on her head and she was not enjoying it. So I reached over to take it from him, he quickly balled it up and threw it toward Justin- It flew 7 feet in the air, and floated down like a kite. Seriously. It was one of those light weight muslim blankets... Justin had to stand up and grab it out of the air.

It floated down ~~billowing out like this pic

To make it worse, we were sitting 3 rows from the front, dead centre. I was mortified, and I looked up at the bishop who missed it (thank heavens) but the second councillor was laughing so hard he was turning red. Justin and I, THEN, started giggling, cause really what was left to do??

Brother Lee, a fantastic brother from the ward, with 5 kids of his own, leans forward and goes "Don't worry, it gets easier"

Sunday afternoon the little stinkers were much better behaved.
Daddy started doing origami with them and the day ended with paper everywhere and a popsicle.

If you want Light to come into your life,

I have been doing a lot of Self evaluating lately.

A number of things have been happening lately, that is adding stress to my already "full" life. Some of them just things people have said, or better yet, how I have heard, and interpreted, things people have said. Other things like people being angry and frustrated, and the constant chaos of self building a new home.

To top it off, I have  the feeling that the Stress is just going to get worse for a while longer.

Anyways... I love the scriptures, spiritual music, my most wonderful husband and my children that are getting me through each day. And I love uplifting quotes that are inspiring.

Play Fabric Store with Dough Art

Saturday was a glorious day.
Aunt Sawna taught me how to make dough art for the family nativity!
She gave Mom and Dad one about 20 years ago. It has become a treasured family tradition and I can't wait for my kids to have one! It was excellent to learn from the "master" and learn all her trade secrets.... and I be honest, my first try might not be exactly like hers.

I am quite proud of my shepherdess. I wanted her to have flowing hair and it totally worked.

The wise man I made also turned out great... his Turban was a bit difficult, my first couple of goes it looked like a couple of folded towels on top, but we finally figured it out, with some help from Aunt Shawna.

While I was busy crafting and learning, Aunt Laura and Grandma held the fort down at home. The kids had a super awesome weekend of playing fabric store... can you tell Annaliesse is pretend cutting out fabric!

Watching the New and Old "Annie" and The Sound Of Music.

Getting some hairs did.

Overall it was a great day for everyone! I can't to finish the dough art later this week, and sing more classics like "Doe Rae Me" and "Tomorrow" with the girls!

New House moving along

Things are moving like crazy at the new house. Justin is even getting some help this week, moving him ahead almost 2 1/2 weeks. Hopefully in the next 10 days the basement will be painted, countertops installed,  central vac hooked up, closet shelfs put in,  baseboards all done, basement bathroom floor installed, and electrical done.

Its been a slow week with lots of sickness.

Remy has a upper respiratory infection, and Kalia is getting over strep throat.

The girls are on a Banana chip, kick.

Remy and I fell asleep like this... when I woke up my face hurt.

Remy woke up the other night at 10 and was up for 45 mins happily playing... mommy wanted to be sleeping.

Parent Teacher Interviews

I was sitting in the rocking chair when the girls got home from school.
Remy has been super sick all week, and I am wearing yoga pants and a hoodie- with giant bags under my eyes as a accessory.
Annaliesse takes one look at me and say, exasperated "Mom your NOT wearing that to parent teacher interviews. Cause I am wearing a dress"

I didn't realize how important Parent Teacher Interview were to her... so Mommy showered and got ready and off we went. First Annaliesse's classroom, met her new teacher, saw her journal and desk. No concerns, not worried at all.. Your doing great Annaliesse!

Up next to Kalia's classroom. We did a center activity and she showed me her art book. They decorated the cover of the art book all themselves... hers was covered in baby pictures- and ones with families... she is so adorable. Kalia got a great report too- doing great- just keep reading!!

4 skirts and 1 blanket

Have you ever tried to sew with 4 kids? It takes 3 adults to sew with 4 kids... we got 4 skirts and 1 blanket done.

Luckily we had Grandma to help us follow the sewing patterns... cause patterns are way different then quilting blocks.

Grandma sewed up a skirt for each of the girls while I sewed one for me! Got to be honest Remy's pencil skirt was by far the cutest.

We finished off the day at the hospital. Kalia had been sick for a couple days and I finally got around to taking her in... turns out she has strep throat.

Just another Saturday around here.
