Make it Monday "Face Paint Me"

Make It Monday.

The girls are constantly asking "face paint me".

No. I am not very good at it.

Do they care?

No. They think I do a beautiful job, and prance around like royalty after- (and maybe one day if I keep practicing it will be so)

Here is Princess Annaliesse

Butterfly Beauty Kalia

Wolf Man Barker

The girls think we need glitter for next time… mommy is not yet sold on the idea of glitter.

Sometimes you just need to dress like a lion and laugh!
Sometimes FHE activities are kinda silly when you have 3 cranky kids and its already passed bedtime

Sometimes massive hail damages your town

Sometimes you have to call your husband to tell him about massive hail damaging his new truck

Sometimes after baking, sewing and laundry with a toddler hanging off you, you just need to lay down- just so he can sit beside you!

They left me

My family left me.

For 5 days to vacation in Silverwood.

Its….. nice…. ish.

I really wanted to go with them- but babys health comes first.

Heres a photo Justin sent me. 1 photo so far in 4 days.

Hopefully when he gets home he will have taken a few more.

I got a few things done… but man am I slow!!
I just need to decide if I am going to machine quilt it or tie the 2 little ones.
Thoughts?

Wet and Wild and Freezing Wednesday

It was suppose to be a nice day.

24 degrees- A perfect day to play in the sand and at the park- maybe get a little damp- without it being too hot! Aunt Sherilyn and Aunt Karla met us too!

Then the wind came up, and the rains came down. It was a fun couple hours! Just a touch on the cold side.

Kids at Kayben Farm for a Primary Party! Grandpa was so kind to take them, while Mommy had a Dr appointment.

Playing outside early in the morning to avoid the mosquitoes and foul air.

Playing with friends!

How cool is he? Hat and baby and ready to go!

Playing Cowboy with Aunt Laura

This is what Barker looks like this summer. Hat, sunglasses and windmill (or a dolly) everywhere we go!

Quilt and Okotoks Erratic

Make it Monday was a cold- hang at home in a ponytail- kinda day.
So Mommy sewed- I had planned a craft for the kids, but daddy called and needed some errands done instead. So I just sewed another blanket for the baby or Kalia. I can't decide yet.

Take a Trip Tuesday- I thought we would do something with Bikes. The girls love riding and Barker thinks his scooter is the endallbeall.

We drive by The Okotoks Big Rock every time we go to the Doctors in Black Diamond. It is set rather far off the road, so biking/scootering seemed like a doable plan!

I tried to get a pic before we headed out- well Kalia was in too much of a hurry to stay still for a PHOTO! Thats her WAY up there already.

"The Big Rock" is the world's largest known glacial erratic--rock transported far from its place of origin by glacial ice. Big Rock, also known as the Okotoks Erratic, is the largest rock in the Foothills Erratics Train, a group of rocks that were carried by ice along the mountain front and dropped as the glacier melted some 10,000 years ago.

It was a really good time… then Kalia crashed. She crashed half way back, Barker and I were still at the Rock. Lets just say she screamed like her head fell off- the whole time it took me to get to her.

Yes, she had a scrape. No she did not need to scream like crazy, while her mommy took 10 minutes to waddle to her. Luckily a hug and a wet wipe work like magic, and the world can turn again.

a happy note.

My husband has really wimpy feet. Like super super sensative. He wears flip flops to BBQ on the DECK. In our 6 years of marriage I have seen him step outside without shoes- maybe 3 times.
It seems Barker MAY be inheriting that sensitive foot gene. Him and I stopped 10 times or more, to get rocks out of his crocks.
