Justin cutting wood for Craft Night.

Kalia and Annaliesse at Activity Days- they have amazing leaders that make everything fun an exciting.

Justin has been working hard on Kalia's new room- with all the snow he still hasn't been able to start yet this year...

Justin made a special appearance at craft night this week, he screwed all the boards together for everyone after they had painted or stained their wood. He really is so good to us!

Most Promising Performance

High River Children's Choir won The Most Promising Performance in Coral at the Highwood Lions Music Festival! The kids were so excited- thanks to the 3 choir members who were in attendance at the final concert to accept.

We only have 2 practices left before our Spring Concert, this year has been so fun! The kids got their picture with the award last practice! Missing 3 kids.

Easter Week- Sun-Wed

Our Easter Countdown for 2018 got a bit of a boost this year!

Thanks to The Small Seed and her Easter Week Printout!
Looks a bit better then when we usually do this
PLUS the Bible Videos put our by the church to supplement our scripture reading for the day.

We started Palm Sunday at Gma and Gpa's talking about The Triumphant Entry. My whole family was over for family dinner and the discussion quickly diverted into meanings and went a bit over the kids heads. HAHA But it was great to have everyones input! Monday when we talked about The Saviour cleansing the temple and healing the blind the kids were reverent and listening.

Austin, Kalia's friend and classmate, was able to join us for Sunday and Monday countdown. He would like to take the Missionary discussions and his Mom gave permission- so we are including Austin Monday nights for Dinner & FHE, church when he can and now Easter Lessons. Hopefully soon we can start him with the Missonaries- we are waiting on his Mom's schedule so she can join him.

Tuesdays and Wednesday we talked about The Saviours Sermons- and was pleasantly surprised how much Kalia and Annaliesse knew :) Our big posters and pictures being put up every day really help the kids remember what Easter is all about.

Side Note: Since we have been talking about Jesus every day multiple times a day Remy is praying for him. She says 'Bless Jesus' in her prayers right after she blesses the Bishop and the Prophet.

I am so grateful for the resources that are available at our finger tips to teach our children. Video Clips by the church, blog posts and ideas from women all over the world, youtube clips with the Primary songs and words, pictures of the Saviour to print and wholesome activities that reiterate morals and doctrine.

Monday we Skipped School

Late Sunday night we decided to go skiing with Karla and Sherilyn.
Calgary has no school THIS week, we are out NEXT week.
Cousin time is IMPORTANT.
FAMILY TIME is IMPORTANT.

So kids skipped School Monday morning.
Justin didn't go to work.
I let my super long list go untouched.

Barker and Remy are progressing nicely.
Barker snowboarded all day- he even carved a few times- which was amazing to see.

Risk, Fish & Bats

We are throughly enjoying spending time playing together as a family!
Saturday Justin put another layer of Mud on Kalia's new room, we cleaned the house, played Risk, ran some errands and Justin and I went on a date.

The kids enjoyed Risk, but its a loooong game. Barker wanted to fight as often as he could and rolled until he was out very early on in the game. LOL. Remy was so good, she helped roll dice, she played with toys and stamps and just enjoyed being around us. I also got a bit bored with how long Risk takes, when you are playing with 3 kids who all want to take as LOOOONG of turn as possible. So I squared Quilt Blocks while I waited for my turn or to be attacked.

Annaliesse bought a fish with her Birthday money. She is thrilled- I say that but, I have no idea what the fishes name is. I do know, that the other fish got injured- who injures a FISH?!?! My son thats who. That is why we don't own a REAL PET. Cause our kids HURT a FREAKING FISH.

We all worked together and got the house clean for Sunday and the kids got showered and ready for bed before we left on our date. I was banging on the door getting Kalia to hurry up and scarred the crap outta her! BAHAHAHA

Remy got in trouble for like the third time in her life. To clarify she got in trouble for doing something she knew she shouldn't  be- cutting her Jammie pants with scissors. She cried and cried and cried and cried. Justin and were trying to leave and couldn't leave her in that state. It took us a extra 20 minutes to calm her down- hugs from Mommy and Dad and her favourite boon 1001 Fairy search and find helped.

Justin and I met Angie and Logan for Date Night! We went to the Okotoks Batting Cages and then for dinner after. It was SOOOO fun. It did take a while to warm up... Well Justin and I took a long while to warm up, but once we got into the swing of things it was really good. We talked about possibly bringing our kids back durning Spring break for a evening of fun!

Remy and Mommy made Bread to go with dinner this week- the 3 loafs didn't even last 24 hours...

Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner this week, Remy pins Grandma down talking about anything and everything. Remy says to Mom "mamma we don't have any pictures just me and you!" Grandma gladly took a selfie with Remy.

Annaliesse got her Kiki Create this week. Her favourite one so far its safe to say. Its a motorized paint spinner... Sloan and Annaliesse put it together Wednesday and spent a couple hours playing. It has been out and on constantly.. only down side, its messy. They do clean it up, but they use like 8 wet wipes when 2 would do :)

Remys normal way to watch a iPad

Thursday the kids and I played Sequence. We have playing it every day since- safe to say we are all addicted to board games right now.

Friday Quilt Blocks

Thursday night putting Remy to bed, she was giving lots of love, being cute and I just can't handle how amazing she is!! I snapped a picture for Justin and her quilt caught my eye... and her face. Her darling foxes made me want to sew again!!  Friday morning after morning drop off I got started.

Sunday Supper is the fabric line for our new Master Quilt :) I freaking love love lOVE the colors. Its gonna be lovely.

It wasn't a full morning of sewing, Barker had a chiropractor appointment in the city with Dr Dan. Barker has been a bit sore this week, and then barfed without warning Tuesday evening- it was time for a adjustment. The office had a wall featuring kids drawings and what they like best about the chiropractor  and what they wanted to be when they grow up. Barker likes the way he feels after, and he wants to be a Police Officer. Remy likes the spinney stool and she wants to be a Superhero when she grows up. The picture Remy drew was.... interesting.

After the Chiropractor we needed to do a few errands- Walmart stop was last. We walk into Walmart and I didn't notice Barker had his soccer ball!!! Mommy dilemma... do I take it from him?

He practised his feet work all through the store, as soon as he kicked it I threatened to take it away. I threatened again when he kicked it at a Gentleman, and then again when it went under someone else cart. Well it just didn't matter, and it wasn't worth a argument. He was great the whole time, maybe we should take a soccer ball everywhere?!?!

At home I was really hoping to do some sewing before we had to pick the girls up from school... it wasn't met to be. Barker really wanted to play Sequence, Remy wanted to play and pick her toes, I wanted to square blocks. So we did all three at once- we are talented like that.

Family Home Evening Treat Part 2

Monday Family Home Evening Mommy gave the lesson on the Garden of Gethsemane and what happened there. It was a simple explanation, with a video clip and a story. The kids were reverent the whole lesson.

😊😊😊

To remind them what Easter is all about we built a Resurrection Garden for activity. It was messy, and the kids were eager to help- which was more messy. Its kinda hard to see.... but we laid a pot on its side, representing the tomb, and built a hill of dirt over it, with a rock path in front. We covered the hill with grass seed..

The kids have been watering it every morning, and I water it throughout the day. Hopefully grass will grow all over and our Resurrection Garden will be Green for Easter.

I had time Monday day to make a awesomesauce treat for Family Home Evening.

Cream Puffs. Moxley Style.

The fluffs were no problem, they turned out quite nice- and I had cream in the fridge for whipping cream. Though we were set for treat! After the activity, I go- I made CREAM PUFFS for Dessert!! Everyone is all appropriately excited for this feat :)
Justin goes "Where are the Bananas?"
Me "We don't have any, we need Bananas??"
Justin "Where is the cream?"
Me "In the fridge"
Justin "The other cream"
Me "What other cream?"

I forgot to turn the recipe card over....

Apparently there are FOUR different steps to Cream Puffs.

The Puffs
Vanilla Cream
Bananas
Whipping Cream

In my defence I have only had Mom Moxley Cream Puffs a handful of times....

Note the Puffs aren't very yummy with just whipping cream. Keeping it real folks. Keeping it real.

Sunday afternoons

Ever since Christmas our Sunday afternoons have been all about games. Ticket to Ride is a all time favourite here. All 3 older kids can play and Remy is perfectly happy playing with someones trains, eating chips and sorting cards.

This game is great because someone different wins overtime. Last Sunday Justin and I lost miserably, the kids spanked us, Barker won with Kalia close behind him- This Sunday, I kicked butt and Justin got mid pack, Annaliesse had a hard game, her routes kept getting taken over. We plan on getting the extension pack soon!

We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's early this week to have help in teaching the kids Settlers of Catan! Justin and Barker lasted for all of 20 minutes, they didn't find the game fun at all! Kalia and Annaliesse enjoyed it- so did I! Lets just say if we want to play this one- we need to go to Grandmas or Justin will just have to suck it up and play with us.

We are on the look out for a few new games if you have any suggestions!
