Winter Zoo

It was soooo warm last weekend- and Daddy was home for 4 days!

We took advantage and headed to the Zoo! The original plan was to take the girls skiing for the first time- BUT the day before A was off. She was crying over everything and it seemed to me she was getting sick. So we headed to the Zoo instead.

Before we hit the zoo we tried out the new Costa Vida for lunch! It was yummy!

Harder

Getting out of the grove of blogging- MAKES IT STINKING HARD TO START AGAIN!

Too all of you who used to ask- how on earth do you blog everyday??

I have changed my answer.

I have no stinking idea how I used to do it. Seriously. Granted- I find it way harder to post during the winter AND we have been laying low for the last couple months.

On the laying low topic.

When we first moved away from Raymond and a constant stream of being social- the girls had a hard time playing together for long periods of time WITHOUT fighting.

LUCKILY this has come to a end- Since the December the girls have played SOO fantastic together- I hardly ever have to intervin. The biggest thing I have to do is say "A remember Brother just wants to play by you!"

Ahh its sooooo nice. I love the way my kids love each other.

On another note- Jen came up to play a day away last week!

I got one horrible photo. We were to busy chatting, making muffins, feeding kids, holding baby Zander and making Lasagna! Jen's recipe sounded sooo fantastic, I was worried about mine. But it turned out fab and the kids ate it like CHAMPS.

Family Day

Family Day comes but once a year.

We decided to check out the Telus Spark Science Center.
The kids LOVED it.
We spend a lovely 4 hours playing, getting wet and exploring!

After a LONG day, we ended it with Popcorn and Peter Pan.

Happy 95th Grandma!

I cant believe it was 5 years ago we celebrated her 90th!!

February 2008
K was just a baby - and so was JUSTIN! He looks - actually he looks pretty much the same.

So we had another big party for Grandma- lots of her family came down to celebrate! Grandma is doing great- still got her smile and easy going nature! She spent about 30 minutes giving the great grandkids rides on her walker!

K enjoyed holding baby Emmerson! Who wouldn't? She is adorable!

Grandma and some of her Great Grandkids. Brother screamed and cried through every photo. It was really enjoyable.

On the other hand- how cute is he?!?! I can handle the tears- cause his face is the best- especially smeared with icing!

Grandma S and Grandma Moxley's family- well some of us.

Love our family- notice the growth in 5 years!

Grandma is so hip- there was even a pinyata at her party!!

It was such a fun day! Thanks Grandma for having us over for your party!

Snapshots

Hanging out- getting ready for gymnastics.

Playing with a whistle- he thought it was the best thing ever!

That face. Cracks. Me. Up.

He found himself in the mirror this morning! He would pull a face and then just LAUGH!! It was hilarious!

It LOOKED warm outside. It was really really really cold. My bad.

2 CENTS on Cookies…. Can I say that anymore?

Here is my 2 cents on Valentines Cookies.
PS is the saying now changed to 5 cents??

AKA Sugar Cookies.

Do you have that "one dish" that you hate to make?
That "one dish" that you make anyways because your husband/friend/family loves them. Most of the time, you put it off until the last possible second, then kick yourself for not making them earlier.

Sugar Cookies.

They are soooo much stinking work! I do not like them. At all.
If I ran the world, and had a personal chef- that would be her main job.

Yes the girls LOVE making them.
My husband LOVES eating them.
AND yes it was really fun having a cookie decorating party in December- psssst… I didn't have to ice those- the kids did!!!

BLAH.

Ok I'm done.
On to Sunshine and Rainbows.

TODAY we made Sugar Cookies for Valentines Day for DADDY!!!

I made the dough during nap time and as soon as the girls woke- I was greeted with screams of excitement and a million questions.

We got right to work…..

PS my MIL has a kick butt Sugar Cookie recipe.
Seriously when other people eat them- I always get complements- they are so SOFT and TASTY!!
Its a handme down recipe- I can't take credit.
Its a MOXLEY thing.

Having helpers always adds 1 hour or so to my funness… but it so worth it to see how excited they get.

I found some WAY cute little jars for our collection of sprinkles!
I should have got more….

Brother ate a ridiculous amount of frosting. He was sooo cranky after about a hour… bedtime was much needed.

Valentines

Valentines Day is coming - even though I tried really hard not notice.

The thought of making Valentines - meh

But the girls have been asking now for weeks. We sat down Monday night to put them together.

A big thanks to Grandpa who let us use his office photocopyer…. a apology to his co-workers who were disrupted by 3 tromping children, and if your desk drawer was looked through for sticky notes- ya…. um sorry- those are fair game at our house.

K wrote her name on all of her's and helped with the candy unwrapping. A tried to write her name but her names takes up the whole paper- so I helped her with hers.

We got most of them done Monday, but Peter Pan proved to be more interesting.
So we finished up Tuesday- we didn't leave the house Tuesday- hence the girls hair and clothing…
meh. They were having a GREAT time playing Barbies and Honey and Mom!

We got the template from here.
