little frustration bombs
Perler Beads.
Christmas Gift.
WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!?!
Those beads are like little frustration BOMBS.
Kalia enjoyed doing it, after she realized it took a lot more concentration then she originally thought. Annaliesse got really really frustrated.
Annaliesses fingers are just a bit to small- so instead of a big design she made her name!

Quilting Saturday
Spent Saturday quilting with Jen, Dianne, Laura and Mom.
Grandma Martin did 5 blankets for Jen but needed help backing and tying them. It was a good day!
The kids played soooo well- we hardly noticed them. They spent their day singing and dancing along to the Frozen soundtrack, playing at the park and having a great time. Its always nice to spend the day with cousins.
We only got 3 backed and 4 tied… So hopefully we will be finish Jens last 2 AND my February quilt in a couple weeks.
The last photo though is my January Quilt. It's done- now on to February!!

Canada
Music time at school has been all about Canada.
The girls have been rocking out to songs all about birch trees, pennies and boats.
Mom: "Where do we live?"
Kalia: "Canada"
Mom: "Where else?"
Kalia: "Um… Raymond"
Mom: "Close- I was asking what Province do we live in?"
Annaliesse (from down the hall): JOESPH SMITH!!
Mom: "Alberta"
Annaliesse: "I was close!"

Laundry
I am doing laundry.
I notice not many pairs of panties.
I ask my five year old how often she
has been changing her panties.
She says nonchalantly
"I am not wearing any- I don't wear those anymore."
We then had a chat.
About panties.
She was perfectly happy to agree
to wear panties.
Again.

Shots
Got around to getting the flu shot finally.
We get it every year, it just took me longer this go around.
Remember the whole 4-is-kicking-my-trash thing? Its still true some days.
I deemed it a sucess. With only 2 out of 4 crying.
Remy was first up. A appointment at the Health Clinic for her 2 month shots. She cried. She's a baby- what did you expect?
Then off to the Walk in Flu Clinic. I did have a moment of complete dread, panicked called Grandma in for backup. What if all 4 screamed like uncontrollable banshees? What if one fainted? What if one bit me? What if one bit the nurse? Ya I panicked ok!!! So Grandma came and waited the 2 hours with us, and she sat with 3, while I held down the 1 getting poked.
Waiting in line to get into the gym we saw a little 7 year old girl faint. Kalia was not impressed. She kept saying she was scared and I kept insisting she wasn't. Cause Im the mom and I know all.
We finally get in, to SIT and wait- as apposed to stand and wait, and Annaliesse excitedly yells "I go first!" Barker not to be outdone yells "Me first". Kalia yells nothing.
So "Moxley" is called and Annaliesse and I head up. The nurse happens to be Liams mom, a friend from Annaliesse preschool class and we chat and laugh with Annaliesse. Then out comes the needle and Annaliesse realizes this may not be quite the rock show she thought it was going to be. But she did great. Yelled OUCH when she got poked- turned deathly pale. Smiles and walks back to Grandma.
Barker is next. He comes running up to me. Smiling and laughing cause it was his turn. He sits on my lap, waves at Grandma and pumps his arms in the air, saying "My turn, my turn!!". Out comes the shot- a poke- a slight waver in his grin as he gives the nurse a dirty look and right back to grinning. Off he runs to Grandma.
Kalia next. She slowly walks to me. Sits on my lap and starts to cry. She will not talk to the nurse… i have to hold her arm down and head… Annaliesse and Barker stare at her like a crazy lady and THEN the shot. Good grief. Glad she went last… my emotional child. I love you.

Surprise!
A Surprise Party on Saturday!
We spent the day celebrating Justin's sister! Happy Birthday Aunt Kim- its always great to have a family day of visiting while the kids play away.
Emma and Elizabeth are the oldest cousins, and we sure do appreciate them playing with the little girls. Annaliesse has been all about braids now, and she instructs me on how to do it and what I am doing wrong.
Barker and Tyson played so well together!
Happy Birthday Aunt Kim! You are such a great example to us- we sure do miss you.
I may have fallen off the No DP Wagon. But as Justin said- He forced me on the wagon and tied me down to the wagon, but I broke free. I blame my BIL's. It may have gotten slightly out of hand- but hey no one puts Baby (DP) in a Corner.

Break is over!
Christmas Break is over. Girls went back to school this morning, and poor Barker is sure missing his sissys.
We made cinnamon buns and did Laundry this morning, and it seemed like every 30 seconds Barker would say "when Boo get home? liesse? Boo and liesse?"
Poor little Brother just wants to play with is sisters but mommy had to do. Oh well- we had a great morning, everyday he reminds me how much I love him!
PS: Barker ate so much dough, while I was rolling out the buns- he hardly ate any lunch!

Frozen Little Memories
Some of my most favorite blog posts are the ones with little memories.
I sent in my 2013 blog book to get done, and I was looking over some of the previous books to remember the settings I usually do, and I had forgotten a couple of the cutest things the kids did.
Like how Annaliesse used to call her nostrils pok-a-dots. Kalia would run around in her diaper singing the I love Elmo song. Oh, and when Barker was teething I would give him a giant carrot to gum, and when Annaliesse thought he was finished she would take it from him and eat it!
So this year I am going to try and write down more of the everyday little notes, things that they do cause its just sooooo sweet to remember.
Yesterday I took the kids to see the new movie Frozen. It. was. adorable.
Annaliesse LOVED it, she was so excited, I sat her on the far inside of the row, against the wall cause she couldn't stop standing and bouncing and laughing! She gasped and smiled and swayed with the music. She is just so fun to watch. When Elsa made that snow monster she was rather upset, but wispered to me, that she was sure Elsa wasn't to mean caused she was so pretty with blond hair like her.
Barker watched for a bit, but got bored, he spilt his popcorn, tipped the stroller over, tried to make a run for it in the middle of the movie, and Mommy spilt the rest of the popcorn diving for him. Remy was awake for the first 30 minutes and loud cooing, then I fed her and she slept. Kalia just watched the whole thing- minus her 4 bathroom breaks. Oh and lets not forget when Barker almost got stuck on the elevator- he ran back in as the doors were closing, but luckily Mom has no problem sacrificing her chest and arms to the closing doors to rescue him. Lets just say good thing Aunt Laura came with us to help!! Thanks Aunt Laura.
Little note: Barker says yes when I ask him things. Usually at this age, the girls would say NO if it was no and stare at me if it was Yes. Barker actually says Yes… but it sound like Wes. Sometimes he also says Ya. His little voice melts me. Kalia has perfected the look "Mom I strongly dislike you right now". Seriously she is 6.. and she gives me that look with perfection.

Eggs and Flour
Justin headed back to work January 2. It was rather difficult to drag my tired body from the bed- especially since we started our big 2014 goal. DRINK LESS POP.
What does this mean? It means on the days I am so tired, I feel like dying, I will not be able to rely on my beverage to keep my eyelids open.
Well, I deemed the first day a complete success- Heather 1 Justin 0.
He's winning, for now...
Anyhow- the kids and I enjoyed a quite day at home. I was making some banana muffins, when Barker decided he wanted a egg. I let him stand at the counter and look at them, but that was to hard. Soon he was kissing a egg, hugging it and putting it in his ear- next thing I knew his pet egg had broken all over him. So I stripped him down, cleaned up the egg mess, turned by back to put the rag back in the sink and he had turned the Kitchen aid ALL to way to speed 10. By the time I shut it off he had flour all over him, the floor and the counter. With flour already all over the kitchen and pieces of egg shell- I figured messy play was the only way to handle the situation. I gave him a bowl of flour and a pile of play kitchen tools and he went to work. Kalia and Annaliesse joined him… and clean up took mommy a good 20 minutes.
I just cant resist him. He was me completely under his charms.
We ended off our relaxing day with Homemade Pizza!
