Snapshots

A little carnival that was in the park, right by our house. It was cold and rainy.. I think we lasted 45 minutes. And the kids were a little scared of the petting Zoo, surprise surprise.

High River RS put on this wonderful English Garden Party. We all got to wear these fancy hats, visit and have little snacks. Fun night!

Remy enjoyed her little picnic basket she got for her birthday!

This, way cute, watch I picked up, and might be duplicating for craft night in October!

Happy Birthday to my REMY

Happy First Birthday to my Remy Roo!!

Its been a year with your big personality, and beautiful blue eyes. Remy you are such a character. You have 2 emotions- happy and sad. And you feel those emotions with your whole body. Remy we love you so much, especially your little brother, he gives you hugs and kisses galore, he pushes you on your car and helps you play with anything in your hands. Your sisters love you too, they play with you and rescue you from a over enthusiastic brother. They even share chocolate pudding and peanut butter sandwiches with you.

You started walking this week! Seriously walking! Your little toddle brings this house so much joy. Grandma and Grandpa are wrapped around your little finger, grandma rocks you in her rocking chair and it seems to calm your whole body. Grandpa can do anything, as long as he is holding you- unload the dishwasher, cook dinner, but usually when he is holding Barker. You seem to get a bit jealous when any adult is holding him and not you.

Remy you scream, for all sorts of reasons. For more food, for protection, for snuggles, for attention, for joy and sometimes just for noise. You also give great kisses. The best kisses. And when you want something you hold out your arms and open and close your little hands. Its like your own little version of sign language for "More" or "Please".

Teeth are such a pain for you. They hurt you something fierce, and at times it is all about mom. Mom spends days holding you on the bed, giving cuddles, nursing and playing peek a boo. You LOVE peek a boo. Daddy is always willing to hold you, when Mommy needs a break from your constant snuggles. Sometimes when Daddy takes you downstairs, during a rough night, you sleep right beside his head, with your little bum in the air. Daddy calls you Remy-fried-rice these days, its kind of adorable.

Remy the first six months were zen. The last six months were… intense. We are so grateful you are a part of our family. You make us complete and I look forward to eternity with you!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had little birthday celebration on Sunday for Rems.
Lets be honest, she hated it. Aunt Krista was holding her during "Happy Birthday" cause I was finishing the waffle cones with grandma, Justin was dishing out ice cream and Grandpa was making chocolate sauce. So Remy screamed through the whole thing.
But the waffle cones sure turned out good. Note to self, or anyone else out there who is thinking about making some. Make the smaller then you think you need!
This is her waiting for her special mini cone. It was so darling, that furlong look! Adorable.
Remy loves sugar. Anything sweet she will eat. This ice cone was FAR better then any cake I could have made her.
She ate the whole thing and hardly made any mess.
Thanks everyone who celebrated her first birthday with us!
Can't get enough
More Annaliesse-isums
I was making a jello salad for Grandpa's work BBQ. The kids were whinning they wanted to go, and I was explaining it was just for Grandpa's work, and we were not invited. Annaliesse pipes up and says "Ya, we were only invited to make the jello"
BAHAHA
Eating dinner the other night.
 Mom "Kalia eat your potato salad"
Annaliesse "Speaking of potato salad, may I have some more?"
HAHAHA
Eating lunch this afternoon.
Kalia "Teeth are bones"
Mom "Who loves your bones?"
Annaliesse "Skeletons"
She is as sharp as a tack!
Science Center
We bought a van 8 months ago.
Then Aunt Sherilyn and Uncle Jay went to the same dealer and bought a van.
They have this awesome deal, if you refer someone they send you a check.
So a HUGE GIANT THANKS to Aunt Sherilyn and Uncle Jay for dropping our name.
Tower Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram’s  cheque just bought us a family pass to the Science Center!
Whoot Whoot!!
The kids LOVE the science center, everytime we go, its from open to close. There are so many fun things to see and do… we always hit the craft class that starts at about 10:30 am. This time they made glue!
 We also saw the Science of Sound presentation and the new slide! We had such a good time, and I am so excited to be able to visit all year.
If anyone else is looking for a new car/van/truck head on over to Tower Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram’s   . They are fabulous to deal with… and I am thinking a family swim pass might be really great too! :)
Summer Crafting
As much as we love outside.
Sometimes we need down time.
We found this castle in Michaels and I had these peg people left from a craft night.
And let me tell you,  the girls love to craft and they had a blast.
So far they have made Cinderella, Ariel, Aroura, Tangled, and a Barbie.
We have only painted the outside, we plan on doing each room a different color... but thats for another day.
House 1 Week 11
Its been a while since my last building update!
I am writing this a week before it gets posted, so there will be more done now... sorry.
Beggars can't be choosers.
The roof is shingled. Except maybe 1/3 of the garage- Justin is hoping to get to that this week.
The kids all took turns going on the roof. Barker did not really enjoy it, Annaliesse thought it was OK, Kalia loved it.
Barker has really been missing his Daddy, so I try and send him with Justin when he is doing errands.
Or little things Barker can tag all with, but it's not really working. After 15 minutes he whines he is missing me.
He sure loves wearing the cool tool belt, hammering nails into the subfloor and playing with Justin's chalk line.
Huge Thanks to Mike who came and helped Justin with the Electrical panel. Mike is a friend from Justin's framing days in Raymond, and when he heard we were building he offered to come out and help with the electrical. Thanks MIKE!
Our little house has electrical done, plumbing ALMOST done and we are waiting on the next draw here any day!
Just more Summer
Lots of things we do, don't require a whole long post or explaination.
Yet, I still want the kids to know we did the little things too.
Like a walk around a lake.
And how they love to toss things in the water... anything sticks, rocks, dirt or grass.
We have gone to the lake lots more too.
And cousin Jayden is soo good with him
This summer is freaking flying by. Only 2 weeks left :(
First Horse Show EVER
The kids had their first Horse Show this weekend!
A Giant Thank YOU to Aunt Lindsay for teaching them, and helping them get ready for it.
It was rather stressful with Allegro getting hurt multiple times before the show and everything that needs to be ready before a show- including the girls skills (I think that was the most stressful part).
SO because Allegro was floundering Kalia wasn't going to be able to ride, so Kalia entered in the Pee Wee Showmanship class.
She got really nervous and cried a bit before going out- but we dried those tears and she was ready.
The first class of the day was at 8:00 we needed to be there early, to get everything ready- so we left the house at 6:20am... the early morning might have helped with the tears too.
The whole family came out to support. Aunt Lindsay is standing with Kalia and Allegro during this pic.
Here we are watching Kalia!!
There she goes in for her class.
Here is the judge talking to the 6 participants- they were ages 6-8. Now Kalia had spent the last 9 lessons learning about patterns and how to show a horse to a judge. Then all of a sudden they were told they don't have to do a pattern! Just walk in a square past the judge, park your horse, back him up, then walk across the field and turn in a 180. MUCH easier then the pattern she was trying to memorize.
Here they are walking in the square.
Here is when the trouble started. Allergo would NOT back up. She kept trying and trying and started to cry :(
When it was her turn to walk her horse over, she was so distort the judge came over and put his arm around her and helped her.
The crowd was silent and she was trying to get herself under control. Mommy may have shed a few tears on her behalf.
It went ok after that, the judge talked some more, and Allegro stood still for the rest.
Kalia ended up getting 4th in her class. She was so excited!! First place she went after was to give Aunt Lindsay a big huge hug!
Annaliesse and Lindsay up next in the Lead Line Class.
This is more of a participation event.
Lots of the Classes are for 6 and up, so this class had lots of littler kids,but Annaliesse still enjoyed it.
For some reason, I can not get Annaliesse to enjoy riding. In fact do to the many tears over this last year, I told her after this horse show, if she doesn't like it, she doesn't have to ride.
She seemed to enjoy her class.
Everyone in Annaliesse class got a ribbon. Or in her words- we all get first!
Yay for Ribbons!
Barker's class didn't start for a couples hours so we wandered around the Millerville Farmers Marker while we waited.
Barker and Annaliesse tried the mechanical Bull. He was sooo excited, the guy lifted him up and told him to close his mouth so he didn't bite his tongue. He did, and he only wagged his tongue around in excitement once!
How adorable is he?!?!
Annaliesse like it, but not nearly as much as Barker and she was done rather quickly.
We decided to feed the kids before Barkers coustome class, it was a good idea but it was rather hairy. We had to wait a while for our food, walked to the wrong spot, they messed up our order- but it was all forgotten as soon as we saw our little LION!
Allergo was a Lion Tamer and Barker the Lion. How. Utterly. ADORABLE.
They had to wait in the ring for awhile while all the people gathered, and everytime Lindsay walked him by us he would wave. And his wave was just adorable. It was a Royal Wave. He LOVED having us cheer for him and wave at him.
Justin took all the class pictures- I was just too busy being nervous and worried for my kids!
There were some close moments. Like when Sven (another horse) and Anna (you know from Frozen) came out. And Sven panicked and scared Anna and all the other kids. And when all the horses jumped when someone turned the loud speakers on.
Barker got 6th in his Class. He was so excited to get a Ribbon just like the girls. It was a excellent morning, and most importantly the kids all had fun!
