Holiday Monday AKA Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Grandma! 

It seems like we just had the May long weekend! Funny thing, it came again!

On Grandma's Birthday, no less. So gathered together to celebrate her 

(4+3-4x20-10^2-120/2-1000+10/4) Birthday.

We celebrated going to the Little Britches Parade in the morning.

It was chilly.

But we are always smiling!

Except Justin… bahaha JKS. He just has a funny look here, but its a good picture of me- so it goes. Sorry Honey Bunny.

Side Note: When I call Barker "Honey Bunny" he does this hilarious fake laugh. So now I try and use in everyday vernacular, JUST to hear his hilarious laugh.

Mark and Lindsay and Laura and Miles were there too- BUT they were all late, parade had started- so sorry… no photos.

Remy's first parade. Can't say she liked the parade, but she sure liked the sucker- with the wrapper still on!

After the parade, BBQ at the house… no photos. But after the BBQ we had a family bike ride.

End the day off with toddler baseball!

Found a new way of having Remy outside with me. Half the time she is happy in the stroller, the other half I have to hold her… hello Hiking Backpack.You are my new best friend.

And then- Remy and I headed in the house, I was reading the Ensign (with a highlighter), and she nose dived off the couch. I caught her- and drew on her face. SHOOT!

Oh & PS while all this was going on- the girls and grandma and james and Daddy played Lego- all weekend. Cause Grandma's Birthday and Mothers Day= lego.

A excellent weekend, all together!

We asked our kids if something happened to mom and dad, who would they want to live with.

Daddy: Why?

Kalia: Cause she has a good climbing tree.

We ♥ Outside

Before I had a Son, we played outside occationally. NOW we LIVE outside.
First thing in the morning, until last thing at night.
Baths every night.
Dirt ring around the tub.

Sweep the mud tracks off the floor everyday.
Helmet hair is a normal thing.
Winter coats and shorts are perfectly acceptable.
Rocks falling out of diapers is not shocking.
At least none have gone up a nose… yet.

Favorite Summer toys, in order, Bike. Scooter. Bike. Skateboard. Bike. Bat and Ball. Bike.
If you look closely, he rides with his helmet strap in his mouth!

In fact- we have been playing outside so often, Annaliesse took her training wheels off!! She did fantastic!

We are a family of bike riders!!
Justin is 99% sure Barker may be off training wheels by the end of the summer! We shall see.

Frog Hunting

I took Barker Frog Hunting… I caught one, then screamed so loud it scared us all, lost the frog, caught it again, convinced Barker to touch it, and then stumbled into the slu.
It was a great little adventure.

BUT when the girls got home, they wanted to go so bad!

After dinner and dance we headed out again.

Annaliesse fell in. Surprise surprise.

Daddy caught one this time.

IT was fun. Seriously fun.

The more I study the gospel, the more Grateful I am. 

Heavenly Father LOVES us.

Heavenly Father wants us to be happy.

HE WANTS US TO BE HAPPY.

He wants us to be HAPPY, so we need to make the effort to BE HAPPY.
Regardless of what we are going through.

I am lucky enough not to have to try hard, to love life.

My children are my joy.
They make me happy.

Tumbling

This Tumbling thing is going great.

Barker,  Mommy and Remy go Wednesday mornings. 

Mommy has to wear yoga pants, Barker gets to wear shorts… at least I let him if there is no snow.

He LOVES it. 

Remy loves it.

Annaliesse and Kalia go Monday afternoons and it is the highlight of their week.

Almost every other morning they ask if it is tumbling day.

Kalia is awesome.
