End Of Barker Ball

Saturday was the Home and Garden trade show AND Barkers last Basketball Game.
We headed into the city for the Home and Garden Trade Show first- now this is the first year we have taken our kids in a few years. The last time we took them they were absolutely terrible- we pretty much threaten their life.

Needless to say they were angels. Justin helped at Gemstone booth for a few minutes so Remy, Kalia and I wondered around by ourselves- we found faceprinting and Remy was all over that. We waited in line and Remy got her face painted.

We found some super fun games to try and some super cool handouts aka pens, candies and stickers.
It was a fun morning with lots of walking- Barker did fall right into a huge mud puddle on the way back to the van- so it was a good thing he had a change of clothing in the van (Basketball uniform and clothing for after the game).

Barkers team played great this last game but ended up with a loss. They only lost by a few points- but they have improved so much this year its crazy! Barker scored 8 goals and he was finally getting the whole Point Guard thing- which is nice, even though it was the last game. LOL

Remy is going to miss her little group of Basketball friends. These are the kids she plays with during Monday and Wednesday night practices and at the games. They have watched Frozen 2 together so many times on parents phones, played countless games of pretend and lots of little basketball games.

Here is Barkers little team
Left to Right.
Coach Todd, Westly, Coach Matt, Spence
Colton, Kale, Barker, Sam, Liam.
Hudson, Bentz, Palmer.

Barker we loved watching you play this year, and we can't wait to see where this takes you!
We are excited for next year and the years to come- your amazing. :)

Forklift & Laundry

Remy and Barker invented a new Bedtime routine that they LOVE.
They come into my room to give me hugs and kisses, and then Daddy come in a forklifts them to bed. Just like a forklift. This action can happen anywhere in the house but they like it best in my room. Forklift can get pretty fancy when we does 2 at a time but usually Remy gets pretty squished and annoyed with double Forklift.

Remy gets the forklift first. Barker is usually not done messing around.

This night after Remy was forklifted Barker asked Daddy to help him fold his laundry. Barker is VERY particular about his laundry. He folds it and puts it away SO NEATLY in his dresser. Its pristine inside that thing. As they were folding if Daddy folded something not to Barkers satisfaction he will explain to Daddy EXACTLY how to fold it HAHA.

Bobby you are hilarious.

Sulking @ Church & 30 Dice Game

Grandma and Grandpa are in Georgia for a few days taking a break from life.
You would think we could handle a couple Sundays with out Grandma on our bench eh? Apparently not. Barker was being a pest to his sister Annaliesse, and after getting moved 3 times and getting his toys taken away. He went to the far end of the bench away from us sulking. I was just like WHATEVER if you'r sulking, you'r quiet. The speakers were really good and after a few minutes I forgot what he was doing until Justin started laughing. Barker had left our bench to sit in the empty bench across from us. The meeting was almost over with just 10 minutes left.

We sit 1/2 way in the chapel, middle bench.
LOTS of the ward sits behind us, and let's be honest, we have been a show in sacremnt meeting for the last 8 years, with four little kids. Our kids are getting older but the bench is still a bit of a show. I had not noticed Barker moving or he would have gotten the Mommy stink eye, instead he got Daddy laughing.

Lucky for us we have some AMAZING people in our ward. Keith and Fay Spackman leaned forward, put his hand on Barkers shoulder and let him know he was now watching him. Then Kenny Cummings left the back of the chapel to sit with Barker. I am 100% sure everyone had been noticing Barker getting into mischief over the last hour, took pity on us and stepped into help out with the boy child.

Our Testimony of Come Follow Me is growing.
I just pray something is sinking in.

Into Aunt Karlas for Jaidyns Birthday Dinner!!
Jaidyn is 17 and graduating this year- it has been a few months since we gathered- so why not for her.
It was a fun night of teaching everyone how to play 30!

30 or Battle Dice
A simple dice game that requires 6 dice and a way to keep score. The goal is to score as few points as possible, while also attempting to knock the player to your left out of the game.
The player takes the 6 dice and rolls them with the objective of getting a total of 30 or more showing on the dice. After each roll the player must set aside one or more dice. The player's turn continues until all 6 dice have been set aside, and then the face value is added up to determine the total for that player.
If a total value of 30 is achieved, the player scores 0 points. If the total is LESS than 30, the player scores the difference in points (a roll of 26 would score the player 4 points). If the total is MORE than 30, the player takes all 6 dice and rolls again. Every die that shows their total - 30 is set aside and they continue rolling until they do not roll any more of that number or all 6 dice have been set aside. The player to the left then gains points equal to the total shown on the set aside dice.
Example: Player A's original roll totals 32. Player A rolls all 6 dice and gets one 2. That die is set aside and the remaining 5 dice are rolled. This time there are two more 2s. Those two dice are set aside and the remaining 3 dice are rolled. No more 2s are rolled so Player A stops. The player to Player A's left gains 6 points for the three 2s that were rolled.
The dice are then passed to the left and play continues.
Once a player scores 30 or more points, that player is eliminated from the game. The game ends when only one player remains and that player is the winner.

Basketball, Roses and Date night

Every so often when Barker has ball on Saturdays in the city we run into Leishmen's! Payton and Becket play community ball. We would take turns watching each other when we were able, and cousins got a bit more playtime. It will be lots of fun having cousins who all play basketball- so far Devin, Jaidyn, Holton, Kalia, Barker, Payton, Beckett and Emmerson all play- and Remy will play next year hopefully :) Daddy, Uncle Jay, and Uncle Cyril all play for fun to!

In a few years a pick up game of ball at family functions will be so fun.

On our way home from the city Uncle Mark called and asked if we would take the girls for a few hours so he could get a haircut. No problem! The kids played the afternoon away, and had time for a craft! My Valentine roses were done, and so the kids made Flower Art- which we had not done in YEARS. Remy and Arlie loved it. Lena ate fruit snacks.

Date Night tonight too!
We sometimes do, different  Date nights. Mr Mikes is a High River staple but we do other things too...
Skating at Olympic Plaza was a change of pace, with a yummy dinner at Cattle Baron after!

Mommy won the 2020 Ward Chili cookout this year!! It was close, I thought Jerry might beat me this year and Danas chili is the bomb. But in the end the bacon won it for me..

Actually I made a sweet Chili this year. Primary was in charge and so kids ended up voting. There were about 11 children that participating in voting and Moxley's won! Whoot Whoot. It is always a night of laughing and fun.

Justin has been playing at the gym rec plex with Kalia and Barker while Annaliesse and Remy are swimming. They play basketball or Monopoly deal. There is no in-between.

Grandma and Grandpa got new carpet on the main floor of their house. The carpet upstairs got stretched- it was so saggy in spots... Thats what happens when you buy a home that used to be a show home!

For us that meant for a week and a half solid Justin, Mark, Dad AND the Missionaries were over moving furniture all over the place. Of course I sent kids over with him every so often. On the last night we all went over to put the living room back together- as it was getting old for the men :) PLUS they had the super fun dolly to play around with in the kitchen. HAHA

2 Extras Skiing

Reading week with Mommy working was a new one for us.

It was so hard going to work each day knowing I was missing out on a week of no school for the kids. They were home giving Justin all the snuggles, making memories and playing the day away. Lucky for Mommy, I love my Job and as soon as the day gets started at work, it flys by. I missed the kids but we knew this is just temporary- soon enough I would be back home, a full time Stay at home Mommy.

Justin was able to be off most the week, and so they managed to take a trip out to the Ski Hill... turns out the last trip of the season :(
Justin took Ray with them to ski and Krista came to ski to- a great day on the hill with 2 Extras.

Family Day

Lauren and Darcy asked what we were up to Family day- it was Sunday night before we had no plans yet. They invited us over to play for the day, we were all for it. It was a lovely day learning a couple new board games, cards games and dice games.

We played in the gym, outside on the quad, the hot tub and in the steam shower. The day flew by we had such a great time!

This evening was way to quiet- I had to investigate... it was adorable.

Barker sometimes pretends he is to big to give Mommy kisses- I have to show him he isn't.

A Ski Trip with Daddy

The Heart to Heart Market! Mommy usually attends with the kids, but I was at work. Daddy attended this year, he wasn't thrilled about the idea- but Remy was :)

We are meal planing by the month right now... Annaliesse and Kalia both have a day to make dinner with Remy and Barker having a day each to help Dad and Mom. Its working well- Kalia hates taking a turn, which just means she needs more turns lol. Annaliesse loves her turn and wants ALL THE TUNRS. Remy is annoyed she only gets to help for her turn and Barker - well it depends on his mood...

Barker thinks he is faster and stronger than his Momma. At some point he will be.. but for now I will continue to pin him down and cover his face with kisses!!

Kalia and Annaliesse had friends plans one night. Barker and Remy were a bit bummed- we also had Dairy Queen coupons. Obviously it was a SIGN!

After dinner one night it was WAAY to quiet- I had to find the kids to make sure they weren't getting into trouble. I walked in on this 😍😍

Justin has spent sometime this month making more Mountain Art Kits.

Busy Sundays

It was Ward Conference this Sunday- I had a meeting right after church with the YW Stake Presidency and Justin was doing visits with High Councilman. Grandpa was also obviously busy and so Grandma stepped in and took the kids for us- church ends at 11- we didn't get done until 1:30. We are so grateful for the family support we have here- the girls built a 3D Disney castle, having a great time. Justin and I got there and recharged while they kept playing.

We did head home after dinner- I was exhausted and wanted to lay down- we watched a movie as a family and I got this pic of Kalia and Remy. I love that they love each other
