Snapshots

Someone please explain to me where July went?

I swear one blink and its gone.

Summer is HALF OVER!?!?

WHAT THE WHAT??

Here are a last few things from July....

These awesome sauce shirts Lauren made to remember our great trip.

Playing "goldfish" with Remy and Barker while waiting at the Dr office.

Typical morning getting ready for church.

We all tried out Grandma's trumpets on Sunday!

Takakkaw Falls

Today could have gone better. Barker got sick last night and spent the day throwing up. The kids all slept in, we were the last ones up and ready to depart camp. Which was super frustrating for Justin. He hates it when we sleep to long.

We were hoping Barker would start to feel better and we could go on with our day as planned but it didn't happen. Barker was sick all morning.

We left Golden at 10:45 and drove up to see Takakkaw Falls. It was so beautiful. The drive up was CRAZY! We had to unhook the trailer and leave it at the bottom. There are switch backs that we never would have made it up pulling the trailer.

It wasn't as fun as it could have been. Justin carried Barker the whole time and I carried Remy for lots of it. It is hard to have fun when your son looks and feels terrible. Poor kid. The girls did have fun and it was nice to spend a bit more time with  Jason, Stephanie and Cullen.

The plan was to do a few more things in YOLO Park but Barker just wasn't up for it. We headed home. Luckily Barker fell asleep and when he woke up he seemed slightly better.

Lake day

We birthed water babies.

Today our water babies played in Cedar Lake. The bottom of the lake is that disgusting sludge mud. It was gross but lucky for us we had a paddle board and kayaks to play with!

Such a great week in BC! We head home tomorrow- with hopefully a few fun stops on the way 😄

Birthday Boy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!!

My Justin turned 33 today. I can't believe either of us is this old! Didn't we just get married?!? I swear he just turned 25!!

This morning after breakfast Justin took all the kids to the skate park for a bit while we were waiting around for Jason. The boys are loving the skatepark here in Golden. Especially Kim's kids who don't have one in their home town.

Just after lunch Jason came to camp to lead us up to Mount 7. It's a popular Mountian Biking and Hanggliding spot for tourists. Meaning you can DRIVE up to the top on a old logging road. It was soooo steep and sooo pretty. We did have to hike up a really steep hill at the top but it was only like 200 yards. But I'm gonna go ahead and call it a hike cause it was steep and in those short 200 feet we got just as dirty as a long hike! The dust was 4 inches deep.

The view from up there was amazing. Simply breathtaking!

The kids stayed close for the first bit, and then when we went on the drop off we held hands. Then off to the side there was a slope they picked wild flowers on and played while the adults soaked in the view.

Our kids really liked it. Barker was so pleased he got to ride to the top with all the boys in Uncle Jason's truck. He is loving his older boy cousins.

Remy so badly wanted a braid like the older girls and so Karla managed to get a small one in that lasted for a few hours.

Kalia is working hard to fit in with Mckenna and Maren. Playing it cool to be included. Not her normal go go go, just calm and sitting with adults. She also really liked the hang glider that was setting up. Justin was chatting with him and Kalia watched him very closely. After they walked away Kalia was like " Dad that's sooo cool!"

Annaliesse spent the day with half her head braided and the other half loose. She marches to the beat of her own drum that one.

After spending the early afternoon on the Mountian we headed over to Jason and Stephanie's for dinner. Mom Moxley made Hawaiian heyatacks!! Yum!

The evening was a bit crazy until the kids had food and were sent outside to eat. It seemed to get so much easier after that. After dinner Jason took them all on a quad ride, they played some catch and we sang Happy Birthday to Justin and had treats.

Success.

Move

One of those awkward days. Nothing really happened but we were sure busy!!

Moved locations today. From Quinn Creek Campground to Golden Campground. Justin's brother Jason lives just outside of Golden so we are here to visit and look around.

Packing up 21 people and relocating isn't a quick process. Much of the day was spent packing, loading, driving, unpacking and setting up. Plus Kim had a few problems with her van. By late afternoon we had finished all that and headed over to to Jason's to see his new house they built.

Don't Barker and Cullen look SOOO alike!! The only 2 Moxley Boys right there. They are so handsome eh!

Oh heavens is Cullen adorable. The house is gorgeous and the land beautiful. After a hour of so visiting and seeing the Moxley's we attempted to head Back to camp. Unfortunately Kim's van would not cooperate at all. It wouldn't start or anything. Our evening ended up a hectic and poor kim. Hopefully they can figure a few things out tomorrow.

After dinner we did take the kids to Summer Kicks At the Bridge. It was a folksy band playing with water sprinklers for the kids, sidewalk chalk and chilling adults enjoying the music. Totally not our normal scene but a new and different experience for the kids.

Remy was itching to dance but a bit intimated by all the people, but by the end she was dancing. 😍😍 Barker played with the boy cousins, in the water and with the chalk. Grandma Moxley spoiled us all with Ice Cream sandwiches and Barker REALLY liked those. Kalia and Annaliesse loved Cullen and followed him around and held him every chance they got. Kalia also played it 😎 she's getting to that age.

Karla and her kids got here Tonight. They will make a fun addition these next few days.

Beach

We spent a glorious day at the Beach today. The kids are becoming so confident in the water. Kalia loves the paddle board and is becoming quite good at it! Except she isn't quite good enough to do it with her AND Remy standing. Remy moves around to much. 😂 She also likes just chilling on the tube with her older cousins. Sunning away from the other kids like a queen.

Annaliesse loves the little kayak! Paddling away from all until she can do her own thing. She was in it a ton today. She likes the paddle board but sitting and paddling is more her speed.

Barker is a freaking stud on the paddle board. Going around by himself like it's no big deal. He is good at the kayak and just loves being in the water. Coming in evey once in a while for snacks and to warm up in his towel. Him and Tyson got along awesome today which has never happened.

Remy played in the sand most of the morning. Justin and I both trying to get her to try out the paddle board with dad or the kayak. She just wanted to play in the sand! UNTIL Brock got on the paddle board with his mom. Once Remy saw Brock going she thought it might not be to bad. After that we couldn't get her off. She always wanted more turns.

Justin was super great. Ran off to get a replacement fin, fill the tube up and played with the kids all day. Near the end he chased a few of the kids on the paddle board, dunking them for fun and splashing like crazy. I'm so glad he is such a fun guy!

Mommy was the sand witch maker and snack getter. Then graduated to paddle boarding with Remy and helping her with the Kayak. Aunt Krista and I pushed her back and forth between us. She was in heaven.

Our littles are the classic Water Babies. I love it.
