HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!!
My Justin turned 33 today. I can't believe either of us is this old! Didn't we just get married?!? I swear he just turned 25!!
This morning after breakfast Justin took all the kids to the skate park for a bit while we were waiting around for Jason. The boys are loving the skatepark here in Golden. Especially Kim's kids who don't have one in their home town.
Just after lunch Jason came to camp to lead us up to Mount 7. It's a popular Mountian Biking and Hanggliding spot for tourists. Meaning you can DRIVE up to the top on a old logging road. It was soooo steep and sooo pretty. We did have to hike up a really steep hill at the top but it was only like 200 yards. But I'm gonna go ahead and call it a hike cause it was steep and in those short 200 feet we got just as dirty as a long hike! The dust was 4 inches deep.
The view from up there was amazing. Simply breathtaking!
The kids stayed close for the first bit, and then when we went on the drop off we held hands. Then off to the side there was a slope they picked wild flowers on and played while the adults soaked in the view.
Our kids really liked it. Barker was so pleased he got to ride to the top with all the boys in Uncle Jason's truck. He is loving his older boy cousins.
Remy so badly wanted a braid like the older girls and so Karla managed to get a small one in that lasted for a few hours.
Kalia is working hard to fit in with Mckenna and Maren. Playing it cool to be included. Not her normal go go go, just calm and sitting with adults. She also really liked the hang glider that was setting up. Justin was chatting with him and Kalia watched him very closely. After they walked away Kalia was like " Dad that's sooo cool!"
Annaliesse spent the day with half her head braided and the other half loose. She marches to the beat of her own drum that one.
After spending the early afternoon on the Mountian we headed over to Jason and Stephanie's for dinner. Mom Moxley made Hawaiian heyatacks!! Yum!
The evening was a bit crazy until the kids had food and were sent outside to eat. It seemed to get so much easier after that. After dinner Jason took them all on a quad ride, they played some catch and we sang Happy Birthday to Justin and had treats.
Success.
