Nanton and Skatemana

Thursday- Lets be honest- I was counting down the days until the weekend this week!
Surprisingly Thursday flew past- thanks to the Bennett's!
Last year the kids and I traveled the Oregon Coast with the Bennett's for 10 amazing days, unfortunately this summer our schedules did NOT mesh well. We did find a day to hang- 5 days before the end of summer LOL

We both still had things that needed to be done, so we chose somewhere close- Nanton Air Museum and Candy Shoppe!

Somehow our kids have managed to see the Nanton Air  Museum a few times in the last couple years- knowing kids they go from one cool plane to the next. I read as much as I can whilst following along and keeping them somewhat contained- maybe on the 45 visit I might have read all the available information. HAHA

This was the Bennett's first time- the kids enjoyed showing them all the cool planes they could sit in, the flight simulator and Bomber with a hard hat tour.

We spent sometime at the park by the museum and then walked to the candy shop for Ice Cream and Candy. As you can imagine- Barkers favourite store ever. Remy was a bit miffed I made her share ice cream with Mommy- the last 2 stops for ice cream she had like 2 licks and was done!! When paying for expensive ice cream treats, and you choose something terrible like Cotten Candy and then don't want it.... Mommy starts making you share- and share a flavour Mommy will finish. LOL

Soon she will be able to eat a whole cone and I will miss that face covered in ice-cream after 3 licks.

Barker and Annaliesse stuck with a bowl- as neither like cones- which is ridiculous as they are the best part!

Lauren ended up taking Remy, Barker and Annaliesse home with her to play with her kids for a few hours while I picked up some wood in Cayley and ran to Costco! Which was SOOO NICE to do one on one with Kalia.

THEN
When Justin got home at 5 he took the kids down to the Skatepark to participate in Skatemana! A program ran by the town at the skatepark to celebrate going back to school! They had little contests, food, and prizes! A fun couple hours with Daddy while the all scootered and ate.

Justin was trying to get fancy and bruised both elbows- haha. Barker won a gift card to Source for Sports for 20$ and Annaliesse won a gift card to Dairy Queen for $5. They had a really fun evening- Mommy had a nice time in the quiet house 😍

Zoo with Cousins!

Finishing the last week of Summer strong!
A Zoo trip with cousins was so fun- and the weather was perfect!
It was so good to go with other kids- there was lots of playing and the kids spent longer at exhibits cause there were other kids looking too!

Snapshots

Kalia and Annaliesse found my stash of bracelet making stuff. They spent a morning beading until we were out of clasps and needed more.

We also spent a few days with our LEGO. Batman set, Doll house set, Moana set and the camper were all set up for a week. We even got around to ordering the missing LEGO from a few of our (Barker) favourite sets (skatepark set and cop and robber set) .

Remy and Barker got into the dress ups one morning and changed 1,000,000 times it seemed. This Snow White dress has stayed out though- and Mommy has helped her put it on almost everyday since.

I made some Blueberry Peach Bread this last week- seriously amazing!

The big girls also started a Harry Potter movie marathon this last week of August. One of the days we made them take a break and biked down to Evelyn's Memory Lane for some yummy Ice Cream!

Happy Birthday Dinner to Remy!
With Hardy's up for Boating and Elizabeth back from Guatemala nearly everyone was able to come out for Dinner Sunday!
It was a full house with lots of food and family EVERYWHERE.

Happy Birthday Remy

Remy Birthday/Boating down the BOW

Happy Birthday Baby!
You turned 5 in the wee hours of the morning- seemed fitting we should do your presents and sing to you bright and early! Needing to leave the house at 7:45am to get into the city for a Rafting adventure you were up at 6:50am. We got your big sisters up, sang to you and had you open your little gifts.

Remy is all about pretend play. She loved her presents, they are become her new favourites.

A few weeks ago Grandma Moxley invited us to raft down the Bow River with her Ward. We weren't to sure at first, with the early start time- but we ended saying Yes! And we are so glad we did.
The morning was spend with Aunt Krista, Uncle James, Grandma Moxley and all the Hardy's.

It was a fun morning with lots of yawning, sweaters, laughing and silliness.

Crazy Devin wore a wet suit and got right in the water. It was NOT warm at all- but thats Devin for you! Lots of the Hardy children got wet, and then cold. Justin and Annaliesse jumped in right at the end- the rest of us stayed on the boats. LOL

Mervin 75th Birthday

Grandpa Mervin turned 75 this last week!
A big number needs a big celebration.
We were super lucky to be able to have Hardy's come up from Raymond to celebrate!
Everyone met at Aunt Karla's Sunday afternoon and we spent the afternoon visiting and playing outside.

Jaidyn challenged Uncle Justin to a one on one ball game and she was AWESOME. Her hard work has paid off and we are excited to watch her play this coming year! You GO girl!

Then Jaidyn came in and schooled us all with her nifty hand trick. SOME of the adults got it right away and SOME were really frustrated!! HAHAHA. It was hilarious watching and laughing as we looked hilarious trying NOT to look stupid.

With only 2 grandchildren missing there were pictures... lots of pictures.

Pretty much my fav of most of the siblings.

Pretty awesome family if you ask me.
And your reading my blog- so you pretty much are asking 😅😅
