Galaxy Land
Galaxy Land was a complete blast.
The kids had such a good time.
The first couple rides Remy was very unsure. Until we got to the motorbikes.
Her most favorite ride- being that she is 2 and still super small there were only so many rides for her, obviously. She rode those motorbikes 6 times.
Barkers favorite ride was the Airplane ride. But the best thing- Barker, Remy and Grandma and Grandpa and I were standing watching Annaliesse, Kalia and Justin on the climbing ride. A lady came up and asked if Barker would ride this mini roller coster with her son. Being they are so little they have to ride in pairs. Barker is not a fan of.... people in general. So for him to say ok, willingly, with no help from mom, and happily join him on the rollarcoaster- shows me he is growing up. OR he really really liked the ride. LOL.
Kalia's favorite rides wasn't really a ride. It was the climbing jungle gym thing. She loved it. Annaliesse went on for a couple minutes and came down; she did not like it at all. Not a big deal, Kalia could have stayed up there all day.
Kalia's favorite ride was the big kid Rollarcoaster. The same one she lost her new hat on. It took about 10 minutes of the ride being closed, and then another little while looking with the manager and another little while of me helping, and we found it. Note to self- take the hat off. See last picture.
We lasted longer in Galaxyland then I thought we would. We had planned to leave shortly after lunch. We got there right when it opened it, and played until lunch. It was packed, like crazy packed: Gaxalyland AND the food court. After lunch and a bit of shopping for Annaliesse's birthday present from Grandma. Then we split ways, Grandma and Grandpa went home and we headed back to the park. 4 hours later Mom was done but the kids could have kept going. Justin was getting tired too- we finally got away about 5 pm. Way later then we had planned- thats ok we thought. Kids can fall asleep half way home. That did not happen- 3/4 children stayed wide awake all the way home. Annaliesse is the only one who slept.

Christmas Eve
Day 24
Book: Christmas Rose
Activity: Sledding and Christmas Eve Traditions
We opened that last book early Christmas Eve. Before we got busy with other stuff. And then later Christams Eve right before bed Grandma Moxley read the last chapter of Christmas Rose to the big girls. A great ending for the girls and Grandma Moxley, who gave us the book.
We took the kids sledding after naps Christmas Eve. Our morning we spent relaxing at home. Barker has this mini snow shovel. He loves it. Every time Justin shovels the walk Barker hurrys to get his snow gear on so he can help. Christmas Eve morning the walks needed to be shoveled again, so he got himself dressed and headed out with his little shovel. All over the side walk and driveway was a crazy path of shoveled snow. He took care and shoveled the walk for us, then moved on to the back yard. Annaliesse headed out to bug him play while Kalia and Remy were content to watch inside.
After our naps and we headed over to Grandma and Grandpas to meet up and go sledding. After our total fiasco skating the day before, we had low expectations for sledding. Luckily we were blown out of the water.
The kids had a great time. So good. It was so fun. Barker could have gone for hours. He was such a trooper. He walked up and down that hill no whining, so excited. Not one meltdown. He is growing up and it is so fun to notice!
Remy went down a couple times and that was all she wanted. She wasn't super excited, it was to cold for her.
Kalia was on fire. She would go down with anyone, run and jump on someone sledding down, go down on her stomach snow flying in her face. See her hair... totally sums up her amazing time.
This kid. Annaliesse almost got bowled over numerous times. Each time Dad or Justin or Uncle Mark would grab her out of the way or she would get lucky and get missed by the skin of her teeth, literally her hat got knocked off, but she wasn't hurt. But each of these close calls she would have no idea, she was just mad her hat got knocked off.
After a couple hours of crazy fun, we were all wet, and the kids were cold. We headed back to grandmas for Hot Chocolate and our Christmas Eve dinner of Crab, wings and dips.
The kids were so wet we ended up opening Christmas Eve Jammies early. Kalia was wet right to her underwear.
After a exhausting afternoon we did things a bit different. We read the Christmas Story, but instead of acting it out, Grandma read another story on the Christmas Spirit called Christmas Oranages. After we headed back to our house and got the kids read for bed. Grandma Moxley joined us and we spent a couple hours playing games.
