Hiding and Colouring Baggies

Remy's imagination goes 1000 miles a minute. Tuesday she was determined to scare the kids when they got home from school so we hide for like 20 minutes chatting. She told me all about how scared they would be and how she would laugh and laugh.

The next day she got out an Ikea bag and some markers and spend a hour colouring. Notice her flower right next to her? She talked to it while she coloured. It was all I could do not to kiss her face off.

Bread and Lacrosse

Annaliesse made bread after school today. It’s funny how much can be accomplished when Mom hides all the IPads and computer cords! 😂😂 We actually have a no electronic rule during the school week- there are so many other things for them to be doing. Including making bread for lunches 😊😉😊

90% of the time they play outside, but every so often Annaliesse is done with that. She baked twice this week- bread and cookies for lunches. Mommy is totally fine with it.

This. Kid. Surprises me every day. Today he scored 5 points, leading his team to a win. After a morning of fever and coughing like a 2-pack-a-day-smoker, followed by a afternoon of fighting with his sisters and getting in trouble lots. This was a surprising end to our day.

Paper Chains and Sewing

Gone are the days when Remy is content to spend her day beside me when I am sewing.

She is ok to spend a couple hours, and even the whole morning beside me- but she was over after a while. What does she do while I am sewing?

Usually I give her a pile of fabric scraps and pins and all is well. This morning Remy wanted to make a paper chain- and she is old enough to do one without to much help. I cut the papers for her, and away she went. 

Moving around the table a couple times- beside me, under me, on the rocking chair at the end of the table and finally.....

Barker's Baptism

Mr Barker is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He has agreed to Take His Name upon Him, Always remember Him and Keep His Commandments. 

It is up to us as his parents to teach him what these things mean.

I have to say, I felt like we were a bit better at preparing his older sisters.

None the less- he was ready and willing to be Baptized.

Barker got Baptized June 01 in Turner Vally at 1 pm. 

Uncle Mark and Uncle James spoke, at Barkers request he wanted no girls doing his baptism stuff.

Hahaha

We were lucky enough to have the wonderful building representatives in Turner Vally fill the font for us- Thank you again. 

Our good friend Tannia Kennett did Barkers baptism cake and it was beautiful! On the each side of the orange square part there was a basketball, soccer ball and snowboarder! Barker thought it was pretty dang cool.

Grandma and Grandpa, Grandma and Grandpa Moxley, Aunt Krista, Uncle James and Emma, Uncle Jay, Mckenna, Payton, Emerson and Brock, Uncle Mark, Aunt Lindsay, Arlie and Lena, Uncle Miles and Aunt Laura, Aunt Dianne and Uncle Ron with James, Lauren and Darcy Bennet with Bailey, Ollie and Ray, and Brother and Sister Thompson.

It was a beautiful short program as per Barkers request.

He did have to get dunked twice.
Justin forgot to say part of the prayer and neither witness (Grandpa and Grandpa) caught it. Uncle Ron caught it and  as we were walking away  talked to Dad and let him know. Justin and Barker then got back in, the now draining font, and did it again. :)

Justin gave Barker a beautiful blessing telling him to look to the Holy Ghost for things in life, let the Holy Ghost teach you. Look to Jesus in your trials and joys- he will guide and assist you. Love your family and sisters, Lean on them. He blessed him to serve a mission in love and to teach and help others. He also blessed barker to find good friends, good friend can help you in your life.

 After the Baptism we had cake and ice cream and visited for a while. It is alway nice to be with friends and family.
