Crafting in full swing

Been busy getting some crafting done! Super Saturday is coming and craft night is coming closer.
We are doing this nativity puzzle this year and I/we are cutting it on my Christmas Saw!  My first couple cuts, leave much to be desired, but I will get better. Justin will be helping a ton this year for Super Saturday. I am teaching 4 classes this year and 3 of them are wood. This one has the most intricate cuts, so we have started early this year, to help with the overwhelming Christmas Crafting season. I am excited- although part of me is always worried no one will like the crafts I choose. I spend more time stressing about that, then I do working on the demos, and gather products. Anyways. Hopefully lots of people will want to participate.

Edited: I am doing just 2 classes this year in SS and not this nativity.

The painted one is my moms from years and years ago. The wood one, is the one I have cut out and still need to sand and paint- a little bit different.

For October Craft night we are doing Burlap Wreaths.
Working on getting the demos done.

I am going to hang it on our door- just haven't gotten that far.

Then last, I started a cross-stitch  family. I work on it at night when I am exhausted, but don't want to just mindlessly watch TV. I am super super slow and all you expert stitchers look away. I have me done, and next I will start Justin.

Snapshots

We love Justin.

Remy will pull out all the plastic plates and/or bowls and stack to her hearts content.  Often.

We got around to fixing Barkers bed after 3 weeks of him waking up at night.

All of a sudden he stopped sleeping through the night. He would wake up in pain or just wake up wanting to snuggle. One of the nights I took him back to bed and laid down with him... I almost fell through the bed! It was also lumpy, on different levels and the most uncomfortable thing ever. A light bulb went off, maybe the bed was the problem. So we picked up some more boards and made his bed a million times better. He slept through the night last night. FYI.

I am going to miss our bike rides.

Barker was playing in the backyard yesterday, and I couldn't help but notice a huge difference. When Kalia collected bugs as a little girl she would have them in the biggest container available. Barker will hold it, shove it in my face and hold it so close to his face, it almost went up his nose.  Little boys are awesome.

Third Kid left home.

First Day of Preschool for this kid Wednesday.
He did so so good.
Walked in, took his sweater off, hung his backpack up and goes
"Bye Mom"
Thats it.
No hug. Nothing.

Barker is 4.
His favorite color is orange.
He wants to be a Dentist when he grows up.
He also is the most darling son I have.
He goes to Preschool Monday, Wednesday and Friday Mornings.

He was so exicted for his Paw Patrol Backpack.
When I picked him up, he was so happy to see Remy.
He told me all about his Teacher Mrs. Herr.
And there are other grown ups in there, he says.
Preschool is going to be awesome for him.

Picnic & Luge.

Monday Labor Day, we spent the day hanging with the Moxleys.
Some of our favorite people to hang with :)
Edworthy Park for a Hot Dog Roast and time to let the kids play with their cousins.

Our kids LOVE fire. LOVE.
Good thing Daddy is patient enough to let them be close and watch and explore/play with careful supervision.

Yes Kalia and Annaliesse were with us, but they were busy playing with cousins the entire time.

After our picnic we headed to

It was ridiculously fun.
Epic.
Wild Fun.

Our kids LOVED IT. All the kids loved it. Kalia and Annaliesse went by themselves and Justin and I took Remy and Barker. I wish we were aloud pictures on the track, but alas, just Helmet pics.

The men all raced the second time, and Grandma Moxley took Barker. It was another amazing day this labor day weekend.

Reunion cut short

The Max Martin Reunion is usually September long weekend, however, this year it was going to be cold and raining the entire weekend. So instead of a weekend of camping in the rain, we met Saturday for a day of games and visiting at the church.
Much better then camping in the rain, if you ask me.

We played a rounding round of sticks. I lost. I usually lose at sticks, its just not a good game for me.

We got to meet Jeter and Macsen! Both adorable babies. Remy loves new babys, as LONG as Mommy is not holding them.

Aunt Eugenia brought some fun props for all the families to take pictures with. Richard challenged Justin to use the vacuum in our pic.... um. Ya.

Laura and Miles pic looks great.

Remy and Barker insisted on being in on Grandpa and Gramdma's pic.

I stole the pics family posted on Facebook... here is Nicole and her family of 4!

Jen and her kids.

Kids playing with the dress up.. they just loved the stuff.

Barker loves pictures.

Lindy.

So Justin challenged Richard with canes and  Great Grandmas motorized wheelchair.

Great Grandma gave the grandkids each a ride on her wheelchair. Barker thought it was fantastic.

Lots of visiting happening including visits about chin hairs.

No Martin get together is complete without Icecream.

We left late after a stop to see Great Grandma Chipman after the reunion, and it snowed all the way home. During the long drive the kids slept, I arranged Kalia's baptism date and then remembered , a friend told me to harvest her zucchini a week ago. The snow reminded me and all of sudden I was worried it would freeze!! So Justin was my hero and gathered it in the snow and mud and cold when we got back to High River before we headed home. Thank Heavens for Husbands.

Saturday was a good day.

Sleepless Power Nap

Remy.
Sometimes she just needs a break. She will be playing along, and just lay down in the middle of the floor for a few minutes. Its like a 2 minute power nap, without sleep.
Its so funny. A couple times she HAS falling asleep, if its to close to nap time and I don't catch her.
Another one of little things about them as a toddler, I want to remember.
