Lights and Quilts

Monday night was sooo warm!

So we headed into Calgary for the Zoo lights- and so did 1000000 other people.

It was sooo crazy we couldn't even get to the turn off. Cars were lined up down the hill to enter the Zoo, the parking lot was full, cars were at a standstill looking for parking and the line up for tickets- out the door.

So- we chickened out. Instead we bribed the kids with Candy from 7/11 and took them to Confederation Park to look at the FREE lights.

The kids had a great time. They were able to run and play, the zoo would have been so packed, they would have had to stand right next to the stroller and not move.

I got the quilts done for Christmas- finally!!

21 & 22

Saturday we spent aimed for quiet day. We took the kids skating, had lunch with the family and watched Christmas movies.

Annaliesse had fun, for the first 10 minutes. Then she got sick of falling.

Kalia was phenomial. Like a pro, her skates were too small but she lasted 50 minutes and she did so good.

Barker was… two. He's two. He cried a bit, whined a bit.

Skating with the Moxley's always includes a hockey stick ride.

Sunday evening the Moxley nativity tradition. Off to Calgary's live nativity.

I wore Justin's work snowsuit, and shoved Remy inside the snowpants and jacket. She really didn't like it, but it was -19 and I was not going to let her get cold.

The kids all were so good this year. Its the first year it wasn't constant tears and freakouts. Although Barker did have a meltdown AFTER in the van, but it was great.

Day time

Been busy last week getting ready for Christmas.

BUT not to busy for some serious Lego time.

Annaliesse enjoys lego on her terms. She thought putting "lights" on her Christmas Tree was fun.

And Great Grandma Chipman got the kids some great Christmas DVD's.
Thanks Grandma the kids love them!

Kalia loves Lego, and making Santa was so fun to do with her.

In between playing I sewed like a crazy person.

 Eric helped me tie one, while Justin was on kid duty.

Barker thinks its great when I tie the quilts.. he has a great time playing trains, riding his car under the quilt, hanging on the boards and bouncing the quilt so everything flys all over.

Kalia's Concert

Grade 1-3 Christmas Concert was packed. PACKED.

Also- World Class Mother thought the concert started at 7, when in fact it started at 6:30.
Luckily Grandpa and Grandma took Kalia early and was going to save seats. So Grandpa texted me at 6:20 and was like it starts at 6:30, get over here!!!!!

I was in the middle of doing my hair- lets just say that in a crunch, Justin and I, WITH CHILDREN, can fly out of the house in 30 seconds flat.

We made it, with NO time to spare, we also stood for her 6 songs with like 100 other parents. It was all worth it, to watch her sing and wave and be happy we were watching.

Grandma and Grandpa snuck out with Remy while we picked up Kalia! She had such a good time and was all smiles.

Aunt Laura made it for 1 song, and uncle Miles missed it cause he was parking. Maybe next time I will get time right :(

Stage West for Kids

Monday we took the kids to The 12 Days of Christmas at Stage West!

A couple years ago we took the kids, and they really enjoyed it.This year they had even more fun.

Stage West runs such a fun show for them, hot dogs, french frys, ice cream and jello- and tons more.

We got asked, by a very sweet old man, if ALL of these kids were ours. Bahahahaha. Yup.

The show was fantastic, the kids laughed and shouted back to the actors. Thanks for the GREAT night! Stage West!

Magic of Christmas~Sunday

Sunday the drive home from Edmonton was relaxing.

We got home and chilling in the living room,when a total commotion caught the kids attention.

Down the road people with Santa hats were walking around and cars stoping in the middle of the road- and so Justin and the kids jumped in the truck to check it out.

The magic of Christmas had made a stop in High River and were sharing Christmas cheer!

Stuffys, candy, necklaces and suckers . The kids loved them, thanks for the round of smiles and laughter Magic of Christmas!

We also opened our books from the weekend, and read lots of stories.

Then Grandpa got ready to go Home Teaching and we hustled to get the Vanilla ready. They turned out great.

The kids lapped up the attention, laughter and general Christmas Spirit. They loved their new Rubber Duck Nativity set.

And this doll is just the most adorable thing.
