Name frames

This project took my day away! I got going along and all of a sudden I looked at the clock and K was suppose to be a Preschool!! SHOOT!

Aren't they ADORABLE!!

This was a project kit I got from Crafters Anonymous, thanks Kd!!
It was a great project to have the girls help at the beginning- they helped me paint their boards…. I watched supper close so that paint didn't get globbed or dripped.

After that Mommy took over- but the girls provided enough excitement for all of us, they danced around like excited chickens! I finally got them done, after being late for preschool, working super fast during nap time, and picking up pizza for dinner, but then I realized it was time to pay some attention to my children and husband who came home early, plus K had a play at school hence everything had to be put down for the day. So first thing this morning I jumped rolled outta bed and hand them hung up before breakfast!!

Selman Home

Great Grandpa Barker Selman built this house 55 years ago.

He passed away 5 years ago, so Great Grandma Selman held on to it for awhile, but eventually it was time for her to move along so she sold her family home.

So this last weekend we headed down to help move the last of their things out.

This house has been a constance in the Selman family tree for 50+ years- saying goodbye was hard for the whole family, but especially more so for some.

The wall paper in the massive living room is classic….

The kids found some costume jewelry of Great Grandma's that they divided to go home with.

The small kitchen table that everyone squished around!

Grandpa Barker took great pride in his yard and lawn, it sure was beautiful!

In the cleaning up- they even found the old blueprints!

Thanks to Sherliyn and Karla who took lots of photos all Saturday!

We will have these photos to show the kids what grandma's house was like, and Baby Brother will see the home his namesake built in, love for his family.

To remember now

Somethings I want to remember about right now

1.When the girls start to laugh, brother automatically laughs. Its so adorable, we will be sitting in the van and K will laugh at something funny and brother will just laugh, and if he's really feeling it he will clap!

2. A still gets super scared when we watch shows, any show really. We bought Toy Story 3 and there is nothing better then holding her for a whole show while she snuggles up to me. I am really going to miss that.

3. K draws all the time. She always has a paper and pen with her.

4. Starting on Saturday brother started walking all the time. He walks around like a mini dinosaur, and squawks in frustration when he falls over. (please excuses the kiss sounds in the back, i couldn't help myself, and camera moving around like crazy)

Calling all you secret crafters

I have a great group of friends in Raymond, ones that I really miss. I miss hanging at my house during the day cause we are busy crafting, sewing, gossiping, drinking Dr Pepper or being completely silly at times.

Moving on with a new chapter of this whirlwind called life is… well its honestly been great. But I've talked about that before.

I still miss a group of people to craft with-

Soo… ladies, friends, associates or stalkers in High River, Calgary, Okotoks and area do you want to craft with me?

I am actually part of a group on facebook called Craftaolics Anonymous, located in Magrath and I though we could set one up like it here. A once a month craft group- its made up of anyone who wants to craft. We choose a craft- whoever wants to do it signs up then either they come to the craft night or they just arrange to pick up the kit.

So below are a few crafts I am contemplating starting, and if you would like to do it with me leave a comment. We will do the craft with the most votes in June- I will set aside a evening in June to do the craft, you come do it, or make arrangements to come pick up your kit. Price will be figured out as soon as we choose a craft.

Idea #1- Decorate your mantle (picket fence sign) 

Idea #2- make a "old" sign. Choose your own word.

Idea #3- Ring and earrings (I have made many of these in the past, but people are always asking about them)

I may have one more idea to add- I am just waiting to hear about it.

I had it in my mind- Today is going to be productive!

My list is long, I need to get going on some projects, great day to get at it!

Brother was up 10:45 until 1:30. He woke up multiple times after that too.
i woke up exhausted- with a slight headache.

No matter- lets get going!

But wait- I need to do this, oh and while I'm at it..

All day I was sooo distracted! Nothing on my list got done-er- done the way I wanted.

ONE thing got done.

I need to clean off my dest- it was getting, um dangerously stacked.

The phone rings, I am chatting along, holding Brother with one arm (he is getting 2 front teeth), leaning over my desk cleaning and….

Brother Barfed all over my MOUSE!


I SCREAM AND GO TO GRAB THE MOUSE- AND KNOCK MY DOCTOR PEPPER OVER ON TOP OF THE BARF!!!!

ARG!!!!!!

Poor Brother- I cleaned off his mouth, put him down, and start chucking things off the desk!

On the bright side-

My desk is clean- yes it is all on another table but its clean.
My mouse is garbage- but I got the new TrackPad.
Brothers teeth should be in soon, and the nice fellow from Future Shop I talked to on the phone got a great costumer rating from me for hiding the last TrackPad until I could get there.
