Weaving and many slurppies

Too busy to be inside for craft time!
We been strolling the streets looking for outside fun!

We did some weaving with ribbon in the back yard.

The girls all liked it, but it Madison who is 8 liked it the best!

Mr Sir is teething- he still only has 2 teeth on the bottom. He is by far- my worst teether. He is so grumpy, he is throwing up, but on the bright side, he hasn't gotten those big blisters on his lips again… yet.  Slurppies are great for sore gums..

But next time, Laina, try and not give him a COKE Slurppy… K?!?

We picked up some sidewalk chalk too, first time we have had cement to draw on!
The girls have been in heaven… Mommy has been chanting to herself- its just chalk, just chalk, it washes off, just chalk, brother don't put that chalk in your mouth, its just chalk it washes….

We were walking to the park and watching K and her friend Lacey share a slurppy and hold hands was simply adorable. K and Lacey go to preschool together in Mrs. Herrs class.

We have matching sunnies… its not dorky, its…. um...

Too Root Beery or too Icey

Warning: Below is a what a real life freezer looks like.

I made the kids some Root Beer float Popsicles, I saw a recipe on Pintrest but I couldn't be bothered following it, not that I was against it- I just didn't want to open a can of sweetened condensed milk for just a 1/3 of a cup… anyways.

 I just made my own up- Root Beer with a little bit of Ice Cream in it.

Apparently I should have followed the recipe. 

 I am fortunate enough to have Mark and Laura come over and devour all my homemade goods.
I am also luckily enough to be given pointers on how to make my homemade goods better, but usually they just say Thanks. They still ate all said popsicles, I did have a lick and yes, half of the popsicle was really root beery and the other half was really icy.

Root Beer Float On A Stick

1 12oz. root beer or 1 1/2 cups1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Mix root beer and sweetened condensed milk together with a whisk. If it gets to foamy set it in the fridge for a bit to settle down. Pour into popsicle molds. I prefer dixie cups and popsicle sticks. I let the popsicles set up(about an hour) before I insert the sticks.

I love being a Mommy.

Mothers Day BBQ

It was a perfect day for Mothers Day!

K gave me a picture she made at Preschool and a card. It was so sweet, I love being a Mommy!

A and Brother gave me lots of hugs and kisses for Mothers Day- it was great.

The best line of the card, My mom is 16 years old. 

After Church Grandpa BBQ'ed some fabulous ribs for dinner, it was great to not anything for dinner!

Then we spent the afternoon outside in the backyard playing. It is alway nice having the whole family around! Laura and her boyfriend, Cody came and Mark was there, Lindsey came to Church but headed over to her Mom's.

I always knew my Mom loved me growing up, but now that I am mom myself- I REALLY know.

Snapshots.

Its proving a little harder for me normal upbeat happy little-sarcastic self.

Life is moving at warp speed some days but other days is like watching cement dry and painful like filling your van up with gas.

Of course the week Mr. Justin is around is flying by- I kid you not- its Friday today! FRIDAY!

Luckily for me Mr. Justin knows I do stuff, he has seen me dash about nearly everyday- and I have managed- for the most part- to stay reasonably sane. Granted Wednesday I was a little high strung when I got home from a massive Costco run, it started to down pour while unloading, brother was in tears the girls screaming to be fed, I was giving uncle Mark a hard time for being a flake. I had put Annie's Chicken in the crock pot and all I had to do was make rice. I must have been thinking about how sexy my husband was in his dirty work clothes or something, cause I managed to only cook a cup of rice for 5 adults and 3 children! ARG!!

Thursday Justin and I went out on a date AGAIN!! WHOOT WHOOT!

We actually had planned on going in Wednesday night but it started to down pour- Justin has been roofing the house- so instead we ended up running into Home Depot and tarping the snot out of the roof. We as in Justin and Grandpa- I did help with opening the tarp packages, so ya know I'm helpful like that.

Thursday night this house was blessed with Barf and fevers. So here we are Friday- we are staying in our Jammies ALL DAY.

Our plan was to head into edmonton for the weekend…. We are seeing how today flows. So far its not so much in our favor. I have not yet put Brother down… he is attached to me and oh so miserable. I have been on the phone all morning about our house, laundry with barf, cleaning before our Lania (our cleaning lady) comes, and now of course blogging.

Daddy 24/7

It is way harder to post everyday in the summer!

Well…. maybe just especially this week. Mr Justin has been home ALL WEEK! Lucky for us, Mom and Dad need their roof and siding redone, so Justin has been busy doing that! 

We get to hear him all day pounding on the roof, and he is home for lunch and dinner and snuggles and bedtime and snuggles and bath time and… well you get the idea.

Combine Daddy outside working with sunny wonderful weather we have been outside 24/7!

Both girls got to go on the latter with Daddy. Mommy wasnt so happy about it, but what can ya do?

We had friends over for a play date!

Enjoying frozen yogurt tubes. Sisters share theirs with Brother.

We went to the dump with Daddy and when you leave the dump attendants ask 

"How many helpers do you have?" 

We had 3 little helpers, and Brother was so grumpy and just screaming so to save our ears and give us some peace Mommy gave Brother his first ever sucker. 

He was pretty sticky after!

 The kids and I are busy enjoying our Zoo Pass!!

These rag-a-muffins have been go go go nonstop. We walked over the the hardware store the other day and the girls rode their bikes, I cant believe they are getting old enough to do that! Granted they are still young enough to have a colossal melt down when someone cough A gets passed by sister K and is no longer first, to then which they drop their bike and start to bawl…. Daddy has to carry bike home with Mommy, stroller and bawling A following slowly behind. Ahhh Bliss the life of a Three Year Old.

Brother is SOO close to walking full time. I really need to video him before he stops walking like a dinosaur! Its adorable.

Side note: Have you ever made your own Cafe Chips? I got a chip maker from Pampered Chef… Shut the front door… a-stinking-mazing. Mommy and A love them!!
